Hopefully not a TAAT, but inspired by one. What's the most interesting present your child has ever asked Father Christmas?

One of mine wanted a unicorn last year

A rocket that doesn't smell of cheese Confused
probably some confusion with the moon made of cheese

a baby goat to keep in the bedroom

A typhoon jet.

A real one.

They're £125 million pounds each, and parking's a nightmare round here.

We bargained him down to a model red arrow in the end.

Ds when 8ish wished for a mini nuclear power plant. Swore he had seen it online Confused. 10ish he had the little chemist and made burns in his bed. Where else make experiments than on your bed?

He's a physicist now Grin.

My brother wanted a 'fete table'. As in, a table one might sell things from at a village fete. We had builders in doing something so one made a table out of some spare wood and it hung around in my parent's house for about the next 20 years.

My eldest daughter once told me that the only thing she wanted was a McFly Annual

I thought that was so sweet

GrannyBags · 03/12/2019 20:47

When he was about five DS asked for a baby brother. On 12th December. Six years on he’s still waiting...

Redcrayons · 03/12/2019 21:49

A defibrillator. He’s 9. 😂 This is brilliant.

Just remembered a couple of years ago DS wanted one of those ancestry DNA testing kits. Reasonable expect he called it a paternity test. once he'd seen my reaction he thought it was hilarious to tell everyone he was getting a paternity test.

Many years ago my DD (then about 5) wrote a letter to Santa: "What I would really like for Christmas is a brown felt tip pen."

Cyclewidow46 · 04/12/2019 00:34

I live 20 mins from Southend-on-Sea Bikerunski if you'd like me to pick some rock up for you?

42andcounting · 04/12/2019 01:07

Last year she asked for a unicorn swimsuit with a real horn growing out of the chest.

This year she wants one of our girl gerbils to become a boy.

@jackparlabane if there's a steam railway anywhere near you they'll give you a bit of coal no problem. Just happens I'm going on a Santa steam train on Saturday if you want me to get you a lump?

Alwaysrainsonme · 05/12/2019 23:10

Mine asked for an atomic bomb; the American one. He’s just turned 7.

I explained no-one made toy atomic bombs. He clarified that he wanted a real one, but he promised not to use it!

Fantail · 05/12/2019 23:46

DD aged nearly 4 wanted to look like Taylor Swift so I bought her a white tutu and glued sequins to it so she could look like Taytay in the Shake it off video.

Still got the cutest recording of her dancing around on Christmas Day.

A button on the top of the stairs that converts the stairs into an escalator if you press once and into a slide if you press twice

DanaPhoenix · 06/12/2019 04:19

DS1 (4) wanted a baby sister. Suggested we leave DS2 under the Christmas tree so Santa could swap them...

@RufusthebewiIderedreindeer you just decorate the Lindt reindeer wrappers like bunnies. They are the same mould anyway.

Clever - I never noticed b4!
