This one ->

www.itv.com/news/2019-11-27/jeremy-corbyn-says-uncensored-documents-show-nhs-is-part-of-toxic-post-brexit-trade-talks-with-us/

I had already decided to vote for the conservatives, mainly because I couldn't bring myself to vote for any of the others who seem hell bent on gleefully ripping up womens rights. I've always voted so abstaining/spoiling wasn't an option.

But after reading/watching the above I think I am going to switch to voting labour. We are a disabled family, and could never afford to pay for healthcare (and I doubt insurance would touch us with a barge pole).

I don't like Momentum/Corbyn really but I'd rather complain and fight for my right to a single sex ward than not be able to use one at all

Re: brexit I voted remain in the last referendum but to be honest just have fatigue about the whole thing, so I'm not basing my vote on any of that. (Though seems a second vote isn't that terrible an idea).

Just posting because I can't see anything on here about this yet and I've gone from feeling quietly confident that Conservatives would win to feeling nervous about it now. Anyone else?

YABU - I won’t vote for an antisemite to become PM. I have already voted for the Conservatives!

TheRightHonerable · 27/11/2019 15:16

You are entitled to vote however you like. Democracy is understanding that everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Personally I think the NHS is at risk either way. It’s cripplingly underfunded, over used and under appreciated but I don’t think labour will be the saviour of it 🙄

We have disabled family members for who the prospect of having to pay for meds is devastating but we also have Dr’s in the family who feel they’ll lose out even more under labour. You only need to glance at a daily mail to see labour voters opinions on ‘high earning’ Dr’s 😂

BrendasUmbrella · 27/11/2019 15:18

I’ve got a horrible horrible feeling that BJ will still be PM come the 12th December.

A floppy haired posh semi-celeb with catchy soundbites who remembers to do the Churchill two fingered salute at every photocall. Of course he'll win. People won't think any further than who will look better next to Donald Trump at the next political circle jerk.

Deathgrip · 27/11/2019 15:18

You are a paid up Momentum supporter with bells on it, but nowhere will you find this level of spending anywhere on the entire planet. Seriously, get your facts straight. You are misleading everyone with your posts.

I’m not even a member of the Labour Party.

And you’re a liar. Here’s the stats for you:
tradingeconomics.com/country-list/government-spending-to-gdp

France’s government spend is 56% of their GDP. Labour’s policies would put us even behind Sweden who spend 49.9%.

Solihooley · 27/11/2019 15:19

YANBU. There’s no way I’d trust the conservatives with the NHS.

Considermesometimes · 27/11/2019 15:20

We have ONLY just finished paying off the excesses of the last labour government, for the past eleven solid years, we are now finally in a position to invest heavily into our schools and hospitals etc again, only for labour to come back in and pour it all into the failing post office, railways and such like. You could not make it up!

I actually don't want to live in a country where the people are so bloody stupid as to vote for this!! Bloody turkeys at christmas is what the average labour supporter is these days voting for Corbyn and his policies. It is incenses me.

Labour we know and love has gone, they may resurrect, but for now we need to look at the reality of a MOMENTUM government, and yes that should scare the shit out of anyone with average intelligence.

ColaFreezePop · 27/11/2019 15:21

@Considermesometimes are you from Tory central office?

Economists back Corbyn's plans.

cola no of course not! I am a labour supporter, but I don't support Momentum. I am furious I am politically homeless because of Corbyn. I can not, and will not vote for him and his confused stance on brexit, deluded economics and his dead beat shadow cabinet.
I will be embarrassed to even admit I am British if HE is representing us on the world stage. It is an absolute disaster.

Solihooley · 27/11/2019 15:25

Boris is desperate for a US trade deal. It’s pretty much all he’s got to offer post Brexit. They will say jump, we will say how high. He’s a desperate liar.

PaddyF0dder · 27/11/2019 15:26

@Considermesometimes

The more you post, the more I’m wondering if you’re ok. Are you ok?

Because there’s holding strong political views, and then there’s being incoherently irrational.

EducatingArti · 27/11/2019 15:27

Tories have raised national debt far more!

To change who I'm voting for based on one news story?
Considermesometimes · 27/11/2019 15:28

The only thought that scares me more than Corbyn being PM is that he won't be for very long (at all) given his health issues and age, and McDonnell will take over, and then we will really have a problem then.

GingerBeverage · 27/11/2019 15:29

YANBU

It's costs $10,000 for a simple birth in USA.

Insurers can drop you at any time.
People die from lack of care, and go bankrupt paying their health costs.

The NHS is our national treasure. It must come first in considerations.

Plus I don't like being lied to!

smemorata · 27/11/2019 15:31

By definition, relative poverty means that we will always have a slice of the population living "in poverty". You can't emote on basic maths.

This is meaningless waffle. The actual percentage of people living in poverty can and does change often directly due to government policy. Presumably "you can't emote on basic maths" just means "I don't give a damn if it doesn't affect me".

Deathgrip · 27/11/2019 15:31

Running so you’re saying that because the centre left New Labour didn’t run the NHS perfectly, we should just accept a government who are deliberately running it into the ground and risk not having an nhs at all? But if you can afford private treatment I guess you don’t care?

Why is the EHCP process shambolic? Because this government has left LAs with a £3bn deficit, predicted to be £8bn in five years time. There will be nothing for children like mine who will simply be unable to access any education without it. Even if yours aren’t in state school because they’re in private education (not sure if that’s why?), how can you vote for that for others when you know full well how awful it is?

I’m not saying Labour will fix everything and it will become a utopia. But we need change and quickly. People are dying, homeless, can’t afford food and heating, children are going to school hungry and coming back after holiday thin and malnourished. You cannot possibly be okay with this, but if you vote for them you’re complicit.

Considermesometimes · 27/11/2019 15:32

Go ahead and vote for Momentum, but don't say you were not warned.

It is going to end very badly for those that do not have the option to leave the country.

Deathgrip · 27/11/2019 15:34

I will be embarrassed to even admit I am British if HE is representing us on the world stage.

But this is a great representative for our nation?

m.youtube.com/watch?v=d7NFfUOJwDE

Have you actually seen this?

woolie34 · 27/11/2019 15:34

Yanbu. You need to vote for the party that best suits what you need.

Lifecraft · 27/11/2019 15:34

Can I just remind you all that we had a Labour govt for 13 years from 1997, during which time the NHS was in drastic decline. That decline has continued under the Tories.

But let's not be fooled by this nonsense that Labour will be the saviours of the NHS. Will they fuck.

Deathgrip · 27/11/2019 15:35

Newsflash: it’s already very bad for those who can’t leave the country. It’s very bad for my children, my mother is no longer alive thanks to nhs cuts. Rolling over and saying you think the alternative is worse despite plenty of actual experts saying otherwise, is what’s ridiculous.

woolie34 · 27/11/2019 15:36

Also if the NHS is a big issue for you, research what most doctors and nurses have been saying, which is basically begging people to vote Labour as they have the most trustworthy knowledge on the subject.

woolie34 · 27/11/2019 15:37

Doctors and nurses have the most knowledge on the NHS I meam*

lily2403 · 27/11/2019 15:38

I’m voting for whoever wants to save our NHS
I couldn’t imagine sitting thinking oh we can’t go to hospital I know you have broke you leg but we can’t afford it....that’s frightening
