To think that it's impossible to vote for Jeremy Corbyn after last night's interview?

To be upfront : I would never vote for Labour or Corbyn anyway, for various reasons.. But that was not a good interview and had I been considering it I would be very concerned now.

That the billionaire capitalist owned media might be slinging mud at a socialist labour leader who wants to tax them? Funny.

ArseDarkly · 29/11/2019 23:17

Wonder if today's dreadful interview on Lbc has put anyone off Johnson? It was far worse than the Corbyn /Neil clash even tho Ferrari is generally thought to be on the Tory side

AnnieTotach · 30/11/2019 06:56

Funny how trumpers cry the media is left leaning and against their leader but corbynista cry the media is right leaning and against their leader.

Dont think so.

Trewser · 30/11/2019 07:49

trumpers?

Johnson can never answer a question, is staying away from the public to avoid scrutiny and let's the media do his campaign for him. He consistently says why the Labour party is bad and not why his party is good. His party have been in charge for a decade. Food bank usage, up. Children living in poverty, up. Doubled the national debt. Screwed thousands over on universal credit. Johnson refuses to look into islamiphobia within his party. Corbyn is the least racist politician we have. Has apologised and held inquests and expelled the anti-Semites within his party. Johnson refuses to. Johnson is an outright racist. Corbyn has spent his life down on the streets with people protesting for their rights. Johnson has come out of Eton and had a cushy life with a silver spoon in his mouth. He's a biggot and a racist and is only out to line his pockets. The only reason you'd vote Tory is if you live a nice life and don't struggle financially, have you're nice cars and house etc and don't want that to change. That's a minority of the population. I'm terrified of a Tory government. I'll never be able to own my own home with them in charge. Corbyn gives me hope. Corbyn has my vote

AnnieTotach · 30/11/2019 08:42

The Hindu Council of Britain also thinks labour is antisemitic AND anti Hindu. Are they also brainwashed??

Btw, I think Boris is racist too. Not voting for him either!

ArseDarkly · 30/11/2019 09:27

The LBC interview was dreadful and I didn't even hear it all. The people phoning in were respectful to him but damning.

He had no apology for his disgusting language about single mothers and the working class "oh that's just labour digging stuff up, i've written millions of words but they pull those out", As Sheila Fogety pointed out later SHE'S written millions of words too but you won't find any racist or disgusting slurs in her words because she's never written any And that's because she's not a total arsehole

ArseDarkly · 30/11/2019 09:34

The plan now will be to keep Boris silent until the election so people won't see how bloody awful he is.

Meanwhile Corbyn will be out and visible, meeting people and taking questions everywhere

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 30/11/2019 09:51

I really don’t think this will bother voters - they know what Boris is we have always known

The question is more who can run the country better, who will be better dealing with the EU, who will be better presenting the UK at an international level, who while create better deals for the UK

and the answer for most is Boris Johnson they may not think he is a nice person, a person of integrity but they will think he can do a better job at being PM than Corbyn also the question who will work for the UK’s best interest - there is a deep mistrust of Corbyn doing that

noodlenosefraggle · 30/11/2019 10:13

Agree. They hate both party leaders. It wont be the Tories fault if they win. Its what they want. It will be Jeremy Corbyn's. FFS if he can go on national telly next to a bumbling liar of a PM waving a document saying the Tories are going to sell the NHS to the US and still people wont vote Labour, he needs to go and take his cabal of cult worshippers with him.

ReadtheSmallPrint · 30/11/2019 10:23

To be honest, I’m starting to despair with all sides.

This is the nastiest, vilest election campaign I’ve ever seen. The aim of ‘supporters’ on both sides seems to be to smear and ridicule the other whilst excusing and covering up their own failings.

All parties are offering free unicorns, peace and prosperity to all and at no cost. The ‘general public’ is starting to cotton on that they are being lied to on all sides.

Neither of the men who are most likely to end up in Number 10 are worthy of it.

ArseDarkly · 30/11/2019 10:24

So people think that a shambling compulsive liar, possibly up to his fat neck in collusion with dodgy Russians, who wants to flog off any lucrative parts of the UK to the USA or anyone who'll buy. The person who, as Foreign Secretary was a notorious fuck-up and embarassment at International level. People think that person will work in the best interests of the UK?

I doubt they'll stay so deluded for long

ArseDarkly · 30/11/2019 10:28

Very few people who've occupied number 10 were 'worthy' of it. Point is, a choice has to be made and I can't see any contest between the catastrophe of Johnson and his shocking cabinet of fools/nasties or Corbyn and team.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 30/11/2019 10:41

Yes they will AD - the Boris phenomenon I don’t quite understand but he does seem to be able to persuade many people he is the man for the job. Out of the two yes I would prefer him to be at the table for high level negotiations do I think he is more trustworthy no, do I want him as PM no

I’ve said before Boris Johnson during the campaign will allow others to do his work for him. Will do little campaigning, less of the bumbling act present a more serious side of him and allow Jeremy Corbyn to do as he does (he likes campaigning) and he is awful in interviews acts like a petulant child

Whatever you think of Boris Johnson he is shrewd (and calculating) he isn’t going to fall in to traps like Jeremy Corbyn does over and over again

The incident yesterday will reenforce the believe that we are under attack from extremists - some of those groups Corbyn has courted as we shall all be reminded (and rightly so)

yellowallpaper · 30/11/2019 10:53

I think all the leaders are going to get a pasting from Neil.

Gin96 · 30/11/2019 10:53

Not one decent PM between them. I don’t want to vote for either of them. Boris is one of the worst public speakers i’ve seen, terrible at answering questions but we know that and you can criticise Boris, it seems a sin to criticise Corbyn, when Diane Abbott says I never question JC that scares me, a lot of his supporters think he’s god like and will fix everything when he’s PM.

Alsohuman · 30/11/2019 10:56

Is he like hell shrewd. Dodging any scrutiny, refusing all interviews except the ones he thinks he can walk and misjudging even those. Watch his excruciating LBC interview yesterday, he screwed that up totally and Ferrari’s one of his mates.

Trewser · 30/11/2019 10:57

who wants to flog off any lucrative parts of the UK to the USA or anyone who'll buy

It's hyperbole like this that just makes me switch off.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 30/11/2019 11:00

Yes I think yesterday he fucked up but it won’t particularly harm him

But yes he is shrewd he has the job he has always wanted no matter how many times he denied this and now he will be the PM that leads us out of the EU - no doubt he shall walk away in a few years to a very lucrative role away from politics

Trewser · 30/11/2019 11:00

Yes, we all know Johnson is terrible at interviews. I have no idea why this doesn't bother me, but it doesn't. I think as a pp says, we can say that and know that, but dare to criticise Corbyn, which let's face it, is easy to do, and the knives are out.

Alsohuman · 30/11/2019 11:14

@Trewser, you can criticise Corbyn all you like as far as I’m concerned as long as what you say is correct and justified. I’m no Corbyn fan but I can’t countenance a serial liar, who tries to evade all challenge or scrutiny, remaining in Downing Street so I’ll hold my nose. I’d have far more respect for Conservative voters if they’d admit their guy’s the awful price of their beliefs.

Trewser · 30/11/2019 11:27

They are both absolutely terrible! But as a lot of the Labour policies are batshit, I'll stick with what we've got, hope that Labour are decimated and then reform with a more centrist appeal and then get in four years from now.

Alsohuman · 30/11/2019 11:30

Well we’re never going to agree on policies, Tewser! Thank you for your honesty about Johnson, that’s really refreshing.

Lizzie0869 · 30/11/2019 11:56

I have nothing against Corbyn. I believe he's entirely genuine when he says he's not anti-Semitic himself. He's just not cut out to be a leader who can take charge, the way that Kinnock did when he routed the Militant tendency out of Labour during the 80s.

He also isn't realistic enough to realise that hard left policies will not win an election in this country. He is entitled to his beliefs, but surely the priority should be removing this Tory Party from government? This won't happen without a change in direction in the Labour Party, and for that to happen there needs to be a change of leader.

Trewser · 30/11/2019 12:16

Sadly (for me!), the next Labour leader will almost certainly be Rebecca Wrong Daily. So hoping for a moderate Tory party once Brexit is vaguely sorted.
