To think that it's impossible to vote for Jeremy Corbyn after last night's interview?

To be upfront : I would never vote for Labour or Corbyn anyway, for various reasons.. But that was not a good interview and had I been considering it I would be very concerned now.

BBC Press Team tweet:

For those asking when Boris Johnson's interview will take place, we're in ongoing discussions with his team but we haven't yet been able to fix a date

Ya don't say!

Trewser · 27/11/2019 16:59

I said the right would be up in arms if a left wing journalist (e.g. Owen Jones) used the same tactics whilst interviewing BJ

The idea of OJ trying to interview BJ gives me all the lolz. BJ would eat him for breakfast. OJ is an utter lightweight .

itsgettingweird · 27/11/2019 17:02

I actually thought he came across better than I expected.

He was trying to answer questions but was constantly interrupted. He remained calm and when Andrew didn't like his answers he interrupted with a different question.

All I came away thinking is "dear lord. We have a piers Morgan do we needs another one on TV?!"

I much prefer how JC tried to answer a question rather than how all the conservatives have done so far is say how the don't agree with what others are saying/doing.

Devereux1 · 27/11/2019 17:02

@JPharm
I still haven't seen any example of how Andrew Neil was unfair to Jeremy Corbyn. Are you able to provide one?

What would you have done if you were the interviewer on the £60b question?

itsgettingweird · 27/11/2019 17:04

Plus Boris is just Trump with a thesaurus. No thanks

Grin so true Grin

Johnson is a lying amoral thug. He has run away from the interview and Rees Mogg has been hidden until after the election so that his hatred for ordinary people doesn’t put the working class Tories off him.

EntropyRising · 27/11/2019 17:06

I wonder if those who thought that Neil was unfair to Corbyn are generally familiar with his interviews?

It was standard fare.

He ate Liz Truss up and spat her out in the past several days. I struggle to see how he's partisan.

Mistlewoeandwhine · 27/11/2019 17:07

This is our last chance to have a government which will actively care for ordinary people. Two generations from now, when your grandchild has been made homeless because they couldn’t afford their cancer treatment, they’ll look back and condemn all you Tory apologists.

Devereux1 · 27/11/2019 17:11

@Mistlewoeandwhine
Let's say millons of ordinary people are being threatened with a nuclear strike. And let's say Corbyn is Prime Minister and the Labour Party has carried out its promise of renewing Trident, a supposed nuclear deterrent.

Could you explain how Labour will actively care for the millions of ordinary people when Jeremy Corbyn has said he would never press the button, meaning Trident is completely useless?

wafflyversatile · 27/11/2019 17:11

Just seen a clip of Johnson saying JC only brought up the NHS talks with USA as a distraction from problems within Labour. Just astounding. Every time he speaks it's like being gaslit by an abusive ex.

''You're only bringing up my affair to distract from you looking through my private text messages! ''

ReadtheSmallPrint · 27/11/2019 17:11

they’ll look back and condemn all you Tory apologists

Maybe. Maybe they’ll blame the ‘supporters’ who kept an unelectable leader as leader of the Labour Party after he decidedly lost a motion of no confidence from his own MPs.

Songsofexperience · 27/11/2019 17:12

You've just outlined the trading objectives of every nation on the face of the earth.

Which is why it's quite a good idea to be part of a trading bloc, isn't it? A group with common interests fighting its corner together.
It's hostile out there.

God yes! If Labour hadn't been tsken over by Bromentum and JC had gone when he should have, we might have a credible opposition. As it is the Tories can do what they like, untroubled by the opposition.

EntropyRising · 27/11/2019 17:14

A trading bloc is a great idea, it's a pity that the EU has ambitions far beyond this.

reginafelangee · 27/11/2019 17:15

He is absolutely hideous.

Jeez. It gets more hysterical by the minute.

Can you explain to me in very simple terms the smoking gun revealed by Corbyn's secret dossier?

wafflyversatile · 27/11/2019 17:16

You do remember that Labour under not Corbyn also lost the election? The leader then was also going to ruin the country economically according to the right wing press?

Songsofexperience · 27/11/2019 17:19

Yes Trewser, bromentum and JC are shit. But we can't let BJ + the ERG run riot for 5 years completely unchecked!

For one, it would mean NO DEAL. And no deal is a bit like a mad astronaut deciding it's a good idea to leave the space station in his undies.
UK/ mad astronaut: "to go boldly where no one has gone before!"
EU/ exasperated colleagues: "suit yourself"

MetalMidget · 27/11/2019 17:25

Let's see - Corbyn has opposed racism all his life, protested against apartheid in South Africa, etc.

Johnson calls black people piccanninies with water melon smiles, women in niquabs letterboxes and bank robbers, etc.

Trewser · 27/11/2019 17:33

Just seen a clip of Johnson saying JC only brought up the NHS talks with USA as a distraction from problems within Labour

Well, he did didn't he?

Mistlewoeandwhine · 27/11/2019 17:35

I don’t want a leader who will nuke other countries full of innocent people. Who would want that? And presumably this situation would arise after the UK had been nuked so I’d probably be dead by that point anyway. An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind.

MrsDoylesTea · 27/11/2019 17:39

@AhNowTed - "Normal people" is hardly name calling is it...?!

And your obvious disdain for the Sun because it doesn't share your views is very narrow minded - it's this holier than thou attitude that the left has that hardens opposition and makes people want to vote Conservative. Except you really can't see it

JPharm · 27/11/2019 17:40

‘AN: – they’ve seen you share platforms with some of the world’s vilest anti-Semites –‘

This particular line made my blood boil, Corbyn asked him who he meant and he didn’t answer, just went on to say 80% of Jews think he’s an antisemite. I don’t think that’s fair at all.

If I was interviewing anyone on national television I’d listen to their answers and I would know who I was talking about if I asked a question like this.
