Bare bum in dressing room , AIBU.

I take DS to swimming. I got the times wrong turned up for the wrong lesson. I decide to go back to the changing room to wait. I find it hard to breath in the pool area, 30 minutes is ok, an hour and I can feel my asthma begin to act up.

There is a dad there getting his daughters dressed (fine) he was in the pool and he's down to his underwear.

Another dad arrives with his son, him and my DS are in the same lesson.

Anyways dad of daughters decides to get dressed... he drops his pants and is stark naked in front of his daughters. He is also by the door so if another parent was coming in their child would have walked into his penis! And it wasn't less than a minute because he was drying himself as well 🤢...

There are cubicles. He could have used a towel as well.

Why would and adult choose to get naked in a dressing room at a swim lesson for children with strangers around.

AIBU to find it bizarre?

His bum was also hairy and unattractive 🤢.

@Oldfail
It lessons for children.

@spanglydangly

They are intentionally so... because people just don't read and love bandwagoning.

@JoannaObrien
From a random Internet forum...

@SimonJT

I didn't see it. Sorry if you felt ignored. Odd that you think that describing a botox as hairy is complaining about how much hair is on there? What?!

@Bigearringsbigsmile @GrannyBags

Yes good point

They do.. all groups have 6 children... 3 teachers. How else would he be going? I don't swim in pools, so wouldn't be going to one otherwise. And as I'm not the only one taking their child... 😐.

@my2bundles
And to repeat you see to have missed the many times I conceded to this... but keep banging on. I'm beginning to enjoy your rantings... have any more points you'd like to make succinct? I'm all eyes.

Sorry I've just seen you were in the mend changing room. In that case I don't think you can complain you should have gone into the women's. Even if it is crowded. How would you feel if a man went into the women's changing room?

Bigearringsbigsmile · 27/11/2019 17:37

So they do a 1:2 ratio?
And you feel safe with that?

pelirocco123 · 27/11/2019 17:39

You shouldn't have been sitting in the changing room , that is very odd

spanglydangly · 27/11/2019 17:45

@pinkboa what about answering the rest of my post, do you have a selective reading problem? You're very quick to jump on everyone else!

I'm amazed by the time you have in your hands to answer and tag people? Maybe use the time more wisely by putting info in your diary so you get to the lessons at the right times?

my2bundles · 27/11/2019 17:46

How many more ways can OP delude herself 8nto thinking this was ok ? 😂😂😂😂

my2bundles · 27/11/2019 17:50

The youngest a child can go into a pool alone during a lesson here is 4. 2 year olds need parental support IN the pool. It's very unusual not to.

FromEden · 27/11/2019 17:54

I'm sure this has been said many many times but wtf? why were you sitting in the mens changing rooms if you are a female? Beyond weird and more than a bit creepy tbh

pinkboa · 27/11/2019 18:05

@Bigearringsbigsmile

First time doing swimming lessons... 🤷🏽‍♀️. I'm not expecting miracles he's 2... he has fun, it's once a week as something for him to do to build confidence in the water. Summer gone we were on holiday and he jumped into the pool DH was in so caught him. He has gone from thinking he will sink and refusing to get in, to now willingly climbing in. I'm happy with his progress and the teachers are very good and attentive ,so no I am not worried.

@my2bundles @spanglydangly

You two are clearly on a mission... it's synced with google calendar with a travel reminder set...who uses a diary? But maybe if I didn't have work, school etc. I could remember all the things all the time! Seeing as everyone is perfect and never gets times wrong.

I'm making dinner actually...

I do have time I marvel at it myself... but when your committed to a process you just get stuck in!

@spanglydangly
Can you not tell I have deliberately ignored it? Why are you getting so worked up over something on the internet. 😐.

@pelirocco123

Such a new and refreshing perspective... thank you!

😂your response to me has nothing to do with my comments. The fact is you shouldn't have been in there, being early is irelevent. Of you spent 30 minutes in a changing room while my son and his friends where getting changed I would report u to the centre and the police.

Hepsibar · 27/11/2019 18:15

At our pool there was a family changing room with cubicles and I think children over a certain age are not allowed in the family changing room. I think common sense in our country even if he is Scandanavian, that he should have changed in a cubicle with his children ... we've all done it. Over a certain age children go into the single sex changing rooms ... which is also v scary if you are mum taking young son.

ELM8 · 27/11/2019 18:16

Just dropped in to say I'm loving this thread 😂

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 27/11/2019 18:17

Hell of a drip feed OP. Hmm A man’s hairy botty in a mens’ changing area, fancy that!

spanglydangly · 27/11/2019 18:19

Coming from @pinkboa this had to be two of the funniest statements I've heard on mumsnet!

You two are clearly on a mission..

Why are you getting so worked up over something on the internet. 😐.

pinkboa · 27/11/2019 18:20

@my2bundles

And of course they don't because.. I. DO.NOT.CARE Smile... the shits and giggles you're are giving me though is well worth the wind up! you must be frothing at the finger tips with each response.

I can't believe people choose to get so heavily invested in something on the internet... man I am amazed!

OP posts:
JoannaObrien · 27/11/2019 18:21

@pinkboa

I am waiting for this to be mentioned on the Daily Fail Wink

GrannyBags · 27/11/2019 18:21

I hope this thread doesn’t make it to the Daily Mail! Some poor man may realise that he was the man in question and that half of MN have been discussing his bum! (Assuming that this is real of course)

spanglydangly · 27/11/2019 18:22

*Another corker from @

I can't believe people choose to get so heavily invested in something on the internet... man I am amazed!*

Because she's not! So much time spent today be OP but it's because she's super efficient and not ignoring her 2 year old Grin

spanglydangly · 27/11/2019 18:23

From @pinkboa

ForalltheSaints · 27/11/2019 18:28

Only in Britain could we have a thread like this.

What the OP thought about the man's bum's attractiveness is just nasty. Being shocked is perfectly reasonable, not being happy at being near the door in case someone could be seen from outside, fair enough.

my2bundles · 27/11/2019 18:30

😂not frothing one bit. Highly amused that you continue to think what u did was ok.

theEnglishInPatient · 27/11/2019 18:32

I am amazed this wasn't a wind up, but the OP is becoming so rude, it might even be real.

Unbelievable.

pinkboa · 27/11/2019 18:36

@ForalltheSaints

To not find a hairy bum something I'd like to look at is nasty...
That's a dangerous hill to traverse, because we could then say anybody's preferences with what they find attractive or ok to view is nasty. Remember this is all subjective and we don't all have similar tastes.

OP posts:
80skid · 27/11/2019 18:40

A woman, in the men's changing rooms complaining about a man changing in there. Really?

pinkboa · 27/11/2019 18:42

@theEnglishInPatient
I have no reason to lie.

@my2bundles

Wow... I continue to what... I guess if you tell yourself something long enough you'll start believing, despite evidence to the contrary.

Good night.
