Bare bum in dressing room , AIBU.

I take DS to swimming. I got the times wrong turned up for the wrong lesson. I decide to go back to the changing room to wait. I find it hard to breath in the pool area, 30 minutes is ok, an hour and I can feel my asthma begin to act up.

There is a dad there getting his daughters dressed (fine) he was in the pool and he's down to his underwear.

Another dad arrives with his son, him and my DS are in the same lesson.

Anyways dad of daughters decides to get dressed... he drops his pants and is stark naked in front of his daughters. He is also by the door so if another parent was coming in their child would have walked into his penis! And it wasn't less than a minute because he was drying himself as well 🤢...

There are cubicles. He could have used a towel as well.

Why would and adult choose to get naked in a dressing room at a swim lesson for children with strangers around.

AIBU to find it bizarre?

His bum was also hairy and unattractive 🤢.

Yes it's always empty... why wouldn't I use it 😐

If it's always empty then why was their a man and his daughters in there? How dare he use the male changing rooms when he could see that a woman needed to use it because she was too lazy to go back to her car as the female changing rooms weren't to her liking.

spacepyramid · 27/11/2019 13:38

^ there. Bloody autocorrect needs to learn grammar.

Bloomburger · 27/11/2019 13:38

Fucking hell, a penis in a men's changing room. I can understand you getting hysterical about one in a female changing room but come on.

And why are you bothered about children seeing part of the anatomy of another human being when it is just there, not used/displayed in a sexual way. At what stage are you going to unveil the mysteries of the penis to your children?

Dahlietta · 27/11/2019 13:38

Yes it's always empty... why wouldn't I use it

You see, OP, you keep declaring that you have accepted you're wrong and insinuating that those who don't accept it can't read or have limited comprehension abilities, but then you make comments like that which show you haven't accepted you're wrong at all.
I'm sure you're just on the wind up anyway though so I won't be getting too upset.

CaptainCaveMum · 27/11/2019 13:43

OP it’s not clear to me that you are actually planning on changing your behaviour- you appear to feel it is justified.

To be clear.
If my teen DS found an adult woman in the men’s changing rooms, he would be upset and refuse to use the facilities. I would help him to complain about said pervert. (Just as I would if a grown man sat in the women’s changing area.)
And I would expect the woman to be banned from the site. And the police informed.

Because a grown adult should never go to a place where they can see naked adults of the opposite sex without those people’s explicit consent (barring life-threatening emergencies).
Do you understand this?

MLMsuperfan · 27/11/2019 13:43

Which part of the thread explains why it's OK for a woman to sit in the men's changing rooms?

MrsFoxPlus4Again · 27/11/2019 13:46

Hang on a minute, your husband wouldn’t use the male changing rooms if he was with your daughter? You take your child into the changing rooms you correspond with if they aren’t old enough to sort themselves out. Something you and your husband have in common then spying on the opposite sexs hairy bare bums

spacepyramid · 27/11/2019 13:48

Which part of the thread explains why it's OK for a woman to sit in the men's changing rooms?

None because the OP is clearly right and entitled to use it and everybody else is completely wrong, or so the OP would have us all believe. I'd offer her a Biscuit but I suspect the hairy bum has put her off.

Lookingforpizza · 27/11/2019 13:49

Idk if I've misread OP or someone has said this but it seems really bizarre to wait in the actual changing rooms for the next lesson... Was there not a reception area to wait in.

Andsoitisjust99 · 27/11/2019 13:50

I think you are being very unreasonable if it’s the men’s changing room. His own children seeing him naked is a non issue. He could rightly complain about a woman in the men’s changing area.

Bibidy · 27/11/2019 13:51

I don't get this, why is that weird? I've seen many a naked adult in swimming changing rooms throughout my life. Some people just get changed that way.

Endspeciesism · 27/11/2019 13:54

Agree he was probably Scandinavian. They are less uptight about bodies while changing. English are so funny and prudish.

pinkboa · 27/11/2019 13:55

@ItsGoingTibiaK

Clearly can't read sarcasm.... but ooook
I keep being rude? Well last I remember I was the one being called names like "bitch"...

Also where have I ever accepted I was right?

You all keep droning on about the same thing as if I have said I will continue to use it 😐. I swear people get on here to bang on and prove a point... not much going on in your lives then?

@TrixieFranklin

Nope!

Going to ignore that one particular person who clearly has more time than I do...

@Figgygal

Well I guess we've never been anywhere well early or late then... wow! Sod me for being human with things to do...

@geordiejock

Didn't need to know that🤢.

@Bloomburger

Because I, an adult has never been in a place where it is normal for adults to be undressed around children that are not their own... it's not that hard to understand.

I think you've used the word hysterical out of context here...

@Dahlietta

This is problem with people who don't read... I have said in numerous responses I am now here for the laughs...

The fact you are even getting upset about this is quite telling... perhaps go read a book. I can't imagine getting all twisted up over a post on the internet , life's too short.

OP posts:
MrsFoxPlus4Again · 27/11/2019 13:55

I honestly thought it was normal to get naked to dry yourself off and change out of wet swimming gear

ApexPrey · 27/11/2019 13:55

Agree he was probably Scandinavian. They are less uptight about bodies while changing. English are so funny and prudish

Are they? Even the English generally get changed in swimming pool changing rooms. Nothing about his behaviour was at all out of the ordinary for an English person.

ApexPrey · 27/11/2019 13:56

I honestly thought it was normal to get naked to dry yourself off and change out of wet swimming gear

It is.

MrsFoxPlus4Again · 27/11/2019 13:57

@ApexPrey I was a bit Hmm after the pervious posters Scandinavian comment

spacepyramid · 27/11/2019 14:10

That's it! He must have been Scandinavian, after all you English folk are so uptight that you go home in your swimming kit and change at home, no? Grin

KanelbulleKing · 27/11/2019 14:13

Agree he was probably Scandinavian. They are less uptight about bodies while changing. English are so funny and prudish

We still wouldn't tolerate an adult sitting in the changing room of the opposite sex gawking at people getting changed.

Comefromaway · 27/11/2019 14:16

Because I, an adult has never been in a place where it is normal for adults to be undressed around children that are not their own... it's not that hard to understand.

As an adult I choose not to use swimming pools that don't have cubicles in their changing areas. But that is because of my own hangups, no-one elses.

It is entirely normal for a man to be naked in a swimming pool changing area whether or not there are other people's children in there. If you think it isn't then that's your problem, no-one else's. All I can say is carry on as you wish, but be prepared to be thrown out one day.

At ds's swimming lessons which were held at a school pool with no cubicles the swimming teacher used to get changed in there in front of the other children.

MaryMcCarthy · 27/11/2019 14:17

I find it bizarre that someone can be so in the wrong, so clearly at fault for their predicament, then make a comment about someone's physical appearance, and keep coming back to the thread. I'd have slinked off long ago.

blackfred · 27/11/2019 14:19

Why have you mentioned restrooms in Australia? You could not possibly be Australian. We Have pools in most suburbs and people just get on with it and get dressed. Nobody stares at other peoples bodies and I am sure most Australian children have seen a nude body or two.
Also Australians know what toilet and changeroom to use.

melj1213 · 27/11/2019 14:19

Please read with the intention of comprehending. Thanks

I have read and comprehended your contradictory posts multiple times but as yet I have not seen a single post from you that explains your actions.

So I'll ask one more time in very simple terms:

Why must you wait in the MALE changing room?

Why can you not wait in the female changing room, regardless of where you change your DS before/after the lesson?

"Its empty" is not a reasoning as to why you must use the male space over the female one, especially when a male using the space immediately means it is no longer empty and therefore your reasoning is void. It is a preference but that does not make it the only option.

pinkboa · 27/11/2019 14:25

@blackfred

I am indeed... and what part of the mentions were scathing?

@MaryMcCarthy
Perhaps you've not read either... here for the laughs at this point.

@melj1213

I see you're still trying to make the point that several ppl before you have...as if it's something new... oh continue if you must.

@Comefromaway

Have you read my replies? 😐 or do you think continuously repeating the same thing will make an impression?

OP posts:
Comefromaway · 27/11/2019 14:27

I've read your replies. I'm not going to change my stance which the world in general concurs with. I accept you will not change yours. But I'm secure in the knowledge that karma will prevail, just sorry I won;t be there to see it.
