My DH has just been hoovering the sofa and Blush found... some parts of a game we haven't played for 2 years, the TV remote we lost a year ago AND a phone which disappeared the previous Feb! I also have a highly convincing answer to my question: "Where on earth do all my pens disappear to?" How embarrassing!!

I'm impressed. Like treasure hunting.

TheQueef · 26/11/2019 15:31

Never no cash these days.
It used to be my emergency bus fare.

Gazelda · 26/11/2019 15:39

I bet there were raisins down there too. There's always raisins when I hoover under my sofa cushions.

Ohhhthepain · 26/11/2019 15:44

Isn’t the sofa the first place to look for lost remotes?

Chunkers · 26/11/2019 15:47

Did he find my marbles? Been searching for them everywhere!

Aquamarine1029 · 26/11/2019 15:53

You didn't think to look under the sofa cushions when you lost the remote and the phone? That's what I don't understand.

MrOnionsBumperRoller · 26/11/2019 15:53

No treasure down mine just pure filth.

labazsisgoingmad · 26/11/2019 15:59

years ago my ex and i bought a sofa second hand. when we got it home we both remarked on the rattling it made so tipped it upside down and took the hessian off the base. inside apart from knitting needles and cutlery there was £15 in coins! as the sofa only cost us £12 i considered that good going!

MistyCloud · 26/11/2019 15:59

Fere · 26/11/2019 16:02

So he should be. Hovering once every 2 years?

I dread to think what I might find under my sofa, bet it won't be cash!
Same with my bed.

drumandthebass · 26/11/2019 16:07

When we moved house a few years ago, the removal men found a slice of toast that had fallen down between the join of the corner sofa. I still feel the shame when I think about it

Winterdaysarehere · 26/11/2019 16:08

Tonight is THE night here...
Pulling the sofa and chairs out!!
Shock
The Xmas, once a year blitz of the front room!!

MereDintofPandiculation · 26/11/2019 16:15

Cat has caused our dresser to be moved out, and has therefore found all the cat toys she has lost over the last 6 months.

Twatwaffles · 26/11/2019 16:16

Tonight is THE night here...

Haha winter, same here! I await DH's return from work to help me dismantle our massive L shape sofa Grin

Simkin · 26/11/2019 16:16

I found a squashed mouse under the sofa cushions once

Choccyp1g · 26/11/2019 16:19

We have just found some bath toys on the top of the wardrobe. DS is nearly 19 and hasn't played with toys in the bath for at least years.

Choccyp1g · 26/11/2019 16:19

at least 10 years!

katseyes7 · 26/11/2019 16:20

My friend once blamed her partner's feet (!) for the rank smell in the living room. He insisted he'd bathed and put clean socks on.
She had to apologise when she moved the sofa to hoover and found a decomposing mole that the cat had brought in.

FlamedToACrisp · 26/11/2019 16:24

The stupid thing is we DID look under the sofa cushions for the remote and the phone! And we have hoovered it more recently... just clearly not very thoroughly.

£15??? nice one! I only found 20p.

Squashed mouse! Ewwwwwwwww!

We got new sofas in January........... I swear our DVD remote is in the old one because we haven't seen it since.

GaryWilmottsTeeth · 26/11/2019 16:27

My mum once found a perfectly preserved and very dried out dead frog under hers.

FlamedToACrisp · 26/11/2019 16:33

Moles, frogs and mice? Every witch needs a sofa, I see.
