In court today. Terrified

In court today regarding child arrangements order. I'm witholding access from my ex to our 1 year old as he is abusive, physically and emotionally. I left him with the help of women's aid and a local charity when he started showing signs of abuse towards our son.

He has made numerous false allegations about me in court. They are very transparent and have only cropped up after he told CAFCASS he had no concerns.

My allegations towards him are pretty extensive and all true. When I am giving evidence in court I will prove this as the truth is easy to recall

I am terrified of him. Scared I will bump in to him. The whole court process is making me unwell

Any unmumsnetty hand holds?

Just in the waiting area now. I'm so sweaty and uncomfortable. I'm anxious and so scared because I've just realised that I filed a statement without th Scott schedule and was meant to produce a Scott schedule. They even told me about it but I just don't have a clue what I am doing. I hope they're not angry with me. I am so scared

You can do this OP. You’re so brave and I cannot day enough how great it is that you’re doing all this to protect your child. There are tons of us whose parents never did that and the devastation is life changing.

Wishing you all the best. I too have been through this. The best mantra you can maintain is 'what's best for your child.' My ex tried everything to make out he was being cut out of a relationship with his son. Much was also about him wanting to control me and be in my company. They rejected many of his requests, primarily because I was able to say clearly why it might be my ex's preference but it wasn't best for DS. I hope it all goes well. Breathe...
