I'm too angry about brexit. And the effect it'll have on us all. I can see a tory majority happening and it sickens me. I don't know what's happened to ordinary people. They've fell for something that will make their lives worse, sold to them by an elite that has shafted them.

I can't fucking bare it.

@jeffreestar ‘these people’ ffs

These people include my partner who had his third heart attack at 39 and had a quadruple bypass due to a genetic condition, not a lifestyle choice. He now has heart failure and is seriously ill. Not all disabilities allow you to ‘power on’Hmm

DFOD.

Soen · 19/11/2019 23:16

Yappy - that's fucking insulting. Disgusting.

Yappy12 · 19/11/2019 23:16

@MustardScreams

  1. Less immigration. 2. Won't be paying 700 billion in to the EU every year.
JimmyGrimble · 19/11/2019 23:16

yappy that’s ignorant and offensive. Whoops. True colours showing there. Tory leavers aren’t racist though eh? Nothing to see here ...

happyandsingle · 19/11/2019 23:17

Yappy12 🤣😂

Walkingdeadfangirl · 19/11/2019 23:18

@MustardScreams dear god. If it is SO CLEAR then explain it to me! Does Corbyn support leaving the EU or not. Its a one word answer Leave or remain?

How can anyone support him until he explains what his position is. If he is so stuck on the fence then he can have the 3rd option and say he is stuck in the middle and unable to lead because he doesn't know his own mind.

Deathgrip · 19/11/2019 23:18

Priti Patel is far superior to Abbott. That woman is a car crash

Priti Patel is legitimately a terrible human being. Abbott has been consistently re-elected for decades because she’s an awesome MP who cares about her constituents.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg with her

Don't know much about Windrush. Is it when you eat baked beans?

Do you think this is something to joke about?

Christ the selfishness on this thread is a whole new level - true tory colours are really showing tonight.

Asthenia · 19/11/2019 23:18

@Deathgrip just want to say I always see you on these threads fighting the good fight and putting things much more brilliantly and eloquently than I ever could. Thank you!

JimmyGrimble · 19/11/2019 23:18

happyandsingle oh look. Another one. Moving along. I bet you’re really concerned about anti Semitism too ain’t ya?

happinessischocolate · 19/11/2019 23:19

I found a zero hours contract useful and certainly my two kids do as well. When I found I didn’t need one I applied for a permanent role and my oldest is doing the same.

That's great, and there has always been casual jobs available, but when certain companies employ the majority of their workforce on zero contracts and use them to reduce workers rights, and the government use that to reduce unemployment figures it's not so good.

ssd · 19/11/2019 23:19

Right Yappy12, it's my thread I'll tell the fucking jokes.

OP posts:
happyandsingle · 19/11/2019 23:20

I think yappy12 was just trying to prove a point in a light hearted manner but of course unless it's in their favour the mumsnet majority feign offence.

Deathgrip · 19/11/2019 23:20

If it is SO CLEAR then explain it to me! Does Corbyn support leaving the EU or not. Its a one word answer Leave or remain?

It doesn’t matter what he wants. He wants to do what’s right for the country, and he wants to make sure that he’s working for the result that the people of the country actually want. The first result doesn’t show that, since it was a) based on lies and b) based on none of the information we have now.

How is this hard to understand? It’s what a responsible leader would do, which I guess is unheard of in this country in recent years so maybe it’s confusing.

JimmyGrimble · 19/11/2019 23:21

walkingdeadfangirl it doesn’t matter what JC thinks. De Pfeffel famously wrote a piece supporting leave and remain. You think he jumped to leave through long honestly held beliefs? FFS the man has no integrity.

Yappy12 · 19/11/2019 23:21

Anyway am off to bed. Remember VOTE CONSERVATIVE and Get Brexit Done.

Soen · 19/11/2019 23:21

I've reported Yappy's post for being offensive. It's disgusting, ignorant and inhumane. Glad you can laugh at it though Yappy. Says more about you than I needed to know.

Deathgrip · 19/11/2019 23:22

Thanks Asthenia :)

I think yappy12 was just trying to prove a point in a light hearted manner but of course unless it's in their favour the mumsnet majority feign offence.

Prove what point? Ignorance? Not giving a shit about people? Point proven.

Soen · 19/11/2019 23:23

What point was yappy trying to prove @happyandsingle? That they dont give a fuck about people. Point well made.

CendrillonSings · 19/11/2019 23:23

It doesn’t matter what he wants.

The electorate seems to disagree. Generally speaking, they like their leaders to be leaders, not “neutral” followers.

happyandsingle · 19/11/2019 23:23

I am actually as I have jewish friends JimmyGrimble

Soen · 19/11/2019 23:23

Ex-pat Deathgrip

Yappy12 · 19/11/2019 23:23

Think it was pretty even tonight. No knockout blow really and doubt it'll have made many undecided people decide who to vote for.

Soen · 19/11/2019 23:23

Crap! X-post deathgrip*

Lumene · 19/11/2019 23:25

The first result doesn’t show that, since it was a) based on lies and b) based on none of the information we have now.

There were certainly lots of lies. But polls suggest the same result on a referendum revote. I am a remainer but come on, claiming the moral high ground of wanting what the people want while ignoring a referendum vote that wasn’t what you wanted is a bit much.

Also Corbyn is a Brexiteer.

Deathgrip · 19/11/2019 23:25

Remember VOTE CONSERVATIVE and Get Brexit Done.

The fact that you think that Brexit will be “done” when we leave just goes to show how little you understand about this entire situation.

Brexit would be the start of decades of instability, erosion of the NHS, erosion of employment rights, companies leaving the U.K., job losses, border issues, supply chain issues... and on and on.
