Just for fun

OP posts:

MIL combined with Christmas. The two words together are never a good omen.

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 06/11/2019 00:44

Threads like "Has anyone ever been to Barcelona?"

No love. Not a single one of the millions of MN has ever set foot there. You may as well be exploring the fittest reaches of the Amazon.

And all the ones where people think they are being so unique and original in moving to places like Brighton.

Whydoyouevencare · 06/11/2019 00:45

Mysterious hobbies, ridiculous virtue signalling and the insistence by at least one person on most threads that some utter cunt must have ASD/mental health problems and can't possibly just be a cunt.

willloman · 06/11/2019 00:48

the ones with along paragraph and no full stops or punctuation of any sort which involve more than six named people and their various attempts to make the posters life miserable and or complicated when its clear the poster is a tad unhinged and or terrifically bored or a troll or something but not to dripfeed

managedmis · 06/11/2019 00:52

A typo in the title

Next!

BillHadersNewWife · 06/11/2019 00:53

When people phrase it wrongly.

"AIBU that my boyfriend took my car?"

YOU CAN'T BE UNREASONABLE THAT HE TOOK YOUR CAR! You can ask "AIBU to be annoyed, he took my car"

FFS.

AND....

Anything where the OP is so up their own privileged arse, they can't see how spoiled they are.

"AIBU to be annoyed DH got me perfume?"

"AIBU to be livid they organised a party for me?"

"AIBU to be angry about our new house...it's a state!"

JaneJeffer · 06/11/2019 00:54

which involve more than six named people
Oh yes, my friend, let's call her S and her DH, let's call him V, and his friend, let's call him K. Let's not.

How much alcohol do you drink?

Line eyes here please!

managedmis · 06/11/2019 00:58

Oh god yes I can't stand the A person, B person he said she said etc.

I don't have the energy

StartupRepair · 06/11/2019 01:00

`what do we think about'..
Prosecco
jeremy Corbyn
This dress
Marble bench tops.
It's OK to have your own opinion. You really don't need to check the authorised mn opinion.

Butterisbest · 06/11/2019 01:02

Alcohol, the devils brew, I can't possibly eat a vile liqueur chocolate without falling into a coma. Your DH drinks 1 can of low alcohol lager a week, he's obviously a raging alcoholic.
LTB immediately

sadiegirl000 · 06/11/2019 01:03

Christmas adverts starting at the end of summer
not good.

goingtotown · 06/11/2019 01:05

What colour should I paint my lounge?
What should I buy at Aldi?
What to do in London with a 3 year old?
Do you think this is ok to wear to a wedding?
Dyson or Shark
What is the luggage allowance for Ryanair?
Show me your kitchen/bedroom/lounge.

isabellerossignol · 06/11/2019 01:09

Any thread where a pregnant or new mother is trying to justify being a total nightmare and wants people to tell her that it's perfectly fine to be an arsehole because of hormones.

Yes, everyone is exhausted and hormonal when they're pregnant but no, it's not actually perfectly fine to be an arsehole. Stop making excuses for crap behaviour.

WhatTiggersDoBest · 06/11/2019 01:09

The men hating ones.
Anything where it gets turned into "LTB and call 101" because the man bought blueberry muffins instead of chocolate which is obviously gaslighting.
Transphobic ones where people's concerns get derailed into trans bashing to the point that anyone with half a brain would know better than to wade into the discussion and point out the sheer stupidity of the thing.
Anything where someone says "I love my baby boy" and gets attacked but if the same thread was "I love my baby girl" it would just be a thread about how amazing babies are.
Too much man hating. I won't scroll past the first post on them any more once I've worked out it's one of those threads, because they just go the same each time.
"Was I racist?" as other people have said. "How should I punish my child?" because it's always something horrific like pushing them away or locking them out or not feeding them dinner.

eeyorenot · 06/11/2019 01:15

DH had an affair, should I leave?
Should I go NC with family member?

And heaven forbid a man decides he doesn't want a relationship with the mother of his child anymore... absolutely no baring on his ability as a father but suddenly his name should be removed from the birth certificate and he's a sperm donor.

ILearnedItFromABook · 06/11/2019 01:25

"I hate dogs/cats and/or the people who own them."

"Pets are bad for the environment."

"It's the end of the world because plastic exists."

"Listen to me complain about other people complaining."

GoldilocksAndTheThreePears · 06/11/2019 01:26

Nanny bashing or just massive over expectations of what a nanny can/can't do or expect. Plenty of reasonable ones, not all are bad, but some are just so crap. Makes my heart sink 'AIBU to expect my nanny to....' and you open the thread and it's just complaining that nanny was annoyed at working 100 extra hours a week, or didn't clean every inch of the house. Then there are the batshit ones, I still recall the one many years ago asking how do other families on here lock up every room of the house when employing a nanny, because of course the first thing they'd do is sidle into the master bedroom and fondle the bedspread.

Disabled loo/parking/wheelchair vs buggy on a bus bustup. I used to engage, try to give my point of view as a former nanny of a disabled child who's buggy WAS their wheelchair (complete with oxygen tanks underneath) and as a currently disabled person who isn't in a wheelchair. I feel that allows me an opinion, but the amount of threads or posts you see with 'they didn't look disabled' and similar comments is hard to fight.

Threads that tease 'AIBU to inform you all!!!!' and you open it and it's telling you a certain chocolate bar is in stock or a seasonal food is on the shelves. Just annoying.

Seahorseshoe · 06/11/2019 01:31

MIL bashing. Don't get me wrong, some are justified, but parents of boys, you might be the MIL one day. You will want to see your son from time to time, have a relationship with him and his family 😒.

BinkyandBunty · 06/11/2019 01:32

Titles that tell you nothing about the actual subject, just that the OP is crying/shaking/broken/FUMMING.

VenusTiger · 06/11/2019 01:37

@GormlessLeech

AIBU to think’- Yes. Your title is shite.

‘What dog breed should I pay some scumbag for that’ll be gOoD WitH kidS and will tolerate JaiidenMaii abusing it?’

‘Shock! My kids don’t like my current lover! How can I force my sexual partners into the lives of my kids who are clearly already in need of intense counselling?’

‘I fucked my boyfriend of 4 days with no contraception, now he doesn’t want My Miracle, this is completely surprising news to me.’

😂😂😂🤣🤣

User12879923378 · 06/11/2019 01:42

"Gender reveals" and any suggestion that knowing the baby's gender when you didn't want to or not knowing when you did has "ruined the pregnancy".

VenusTiger · 06/11/2019 01:43

Do you think we dislike the MIL threads because we have our own MIL problems and don’t need to read about other people’s?

The ones that annoy me most are “who is wrong here?” Or “should I have said something?”
