How are you voting in December?

Apologies if there’s already a thread on this - I did look and couldn’t find one.

So now it’s been confirmed that we’re having a GE in December, how are you voting? And what are your predictions on the results?

I’ve seen quite a few posts on here over the past couple months from people saying they wouldn’t vote now as they are politically homeless - wondering if these people still feel that way?

I’m voting labour - albeit in a very safe Tory area (so feel very much as though my vote doesn’t count). Reasons being I would never vote Tory and I don’t like a lot of what the Lim Dems have said recently. I also couldn’t bring myself not to vote at all.

Lib Dem.

Lionso · 30/10/2019 15:03

In a traditional labour seat which has a strong chance of going to the brexit party, as its a heavy leave area. I'm horrified but a vote for lib dem/green here won't do anything and I will likely have to vote labour to try keep the brexit party out.

sevencontinents · 30/10/2019 15:21

Safe Labour seat here.
Will be voting Labour as am a party member and, although Corbyn's Labour isn't perfect (what in life is?!), it is the party that reflects my values the most. I am not obsessed with expanding the economy at the expense of all else, and thereby causing the deaths of thousands of people and drastically limiting the quality of life of millions more, whilst a small proportion get richer and society becomes more unequal. Nor am I in favour of ignoring the referendum completely.
I don't understand why people call Jeremy Corbyn dangerous. It smacks of right-wing tabloid fear mongering. In fact, I am amazed that Corbyn has lasted as long as he has, given the battering he has faced from the media since his leadership began.

Elphame · 30/10/2019 15:23

None of them are fit for purpose so none will get my vote

RaspberryBubblegum · 30/10/2019 15:23

Tax companies more - they leave and go to a country with lower tax
Yes because companies would rather leave the country out of spite than earn a little bit less because of tax 🤔 do you really think if the likes of amazon etc had to pay tax they would just leave?

Prestoli · 30/10/2019 15:26

Tory

Cantstoppiggingout · 30/10/2019 15:28

I'll vote for any party that stops that idiot, Corbyn, from becoming PM, which probably means Tory in my area.

GlitchStitch · 30/10/2019 15:33

Probably Tory for the first time ever. I despise Corbyn and my labour MP is a revolting misogynist.

Drabarni · 30/10/2019 15:33

if it's the 12th I'll be at ds1 wedding so won't bother.
Very safe labour seat in he NW anyway.

Crotchgoblins · 30/10/2019 15:34

I will be voting tactically against the conservatives who have decimated our public services with years of austerity for thier own political agenda, then launched the referendum which has polarised the country and whipped up hatred. It astounds me why anyone would vote Tory unless they can afford private health/education. The way the media report Jeremy Corbyn is just ridiculous....

Cantstoppiggingout · 30/10/2019 15:38

Apart from despising Corbyn, my main point when deciding who to vote for atm is whether or not they can define 'woman' properly.

Labour, LD and Greens seem incapable of this, so that leaves Tory.

MorrisZapp · 30/10/2019 15:38

I loathe labour but I'll vote for them to keep the SNP out. Every SNP vote is taken as pro indy.

Swirls1111 · 30/10/2019 15:56

If the Conservatives get in after the last 10 years - the country probably deserves what it gets.

amusedbush · 30/10/2019 15:57

SNP, as always.

I'd rather set myself on fire than vote Tory.

FadingStar · 30/10/2019 16:00

But I feel voting Tory this time is a vote to wave our NHS goodbye. And a brief glance at ‘Britannia Unchained’ written by the current incompetents in Government will let you know what they have in store for us. Fuck all maternity and a couple of weeks annual leave? People must be crazed to even consider them.

100%. It's unconscionable.

Their leader is accused of groping women, uses misogynistic language and treats his partners like shit. The only reason he doesn't speak out for trans people as much as the others is because he is a bigot.

The ignorance on this thread is astonishing.

Sunshine93 · 30/10/2019 16:11

People who are saying Corbyn is an idiot, could you please explain this view. Words like clown and chicken are the words of the daily mail etc. Is that where you got your opinions from?

Proseccoinamug · 30/10/2019 16:15

Labour.

The ‘Anything But’ vote.

CendrillonSings · 30/10/2019 16:17

People who are saying Corbyn is an idiot, could you please explain this view.

For a start, he believes in outdated hard-left policies like banning private schools, imposing super-high taxes, and confiscating private property.

He also barely scraped two Es at A-level, so he's pretty stupid from any objective point of view.

Proseccoinamug · 30/10/2019 16:18

You think Boris Johnson represents the feminist ideal, 1Cantstoppiggingout ?

I’d rather eat my own eyeballs than vote Tory.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 30/10/2019 16:21

Sunshine93 Corbyn is an idiot for being so ridiculously childish that he wouldn’t share a platform with David Cameron during the referendum campaign even with both supposedly campaigning for us to remain

But he has shared platforms with terrorist sympathizers and had ex IRA prisoners as guests in the HOP just a few weeks after the Brighton bombing (this act was absolutely outrageous he should have been kicked out of the party there and then but far bigger issues were going on - you know national safety and protecting our democracy)

HTH

fotheringhay · 30/10/2019 16:24

Ooo I wonder who would be Labour leader if JC had been expelled ages ago...

Ok that might not be a very interesting thought experiment to anyone but me!

Xenia · 30/10/2019 16:27

Conservative, the best party for Britain.

Even if people don't agree, do vote. The more people that vote the less chance those who lose will say - yes but it was a very low turn out.

mantlepiece · 30/10/2019 16:31

Labour

user1471448556 · 30/10/2019 16:34

Labour. Only way to stop the hard Brexit Tory in my constituency.
