AIBU to be sick of these comments?

My baby is 5 months old and ginger. I LOVE his hair. It wasn't a surprise, both DH and I were ginger as kids and my side of the family are Irish and ginger.

It's the first thing people mention, which is fine. I think he is gorgeous. But I get so many comments like 'oh no, it's not ginger it's more blonde' or 'it will go blonde/brown' or 'are you worried he will be bullied?', 'ah, i don't mind it on babies but not adults' etc etc.

I am fine for him to be a little flamed haired beauty forever but seriously, he is only 5 months and already getting negative comments. People need to get over this ginger thing.

AIBU to dye my blonde hair ginger in solidarity and tell people to sod off?

My 16 year olds friend had the most lovely red hair that's half way down his back

Ds1s cousins both have curly rex hair and his 3 sisters on his dads side have the same

We were waiting for dgd to have the same but she inherited my brown frizzy hair instead

People are rude, be rude back!

I would ignore them, it’s ignorance. After all if it’s good enough for a prince and all that.

My dad is a red head although it's more white as opposed to grey now as he's in his 70s! My two daughters had red head hair until it started to go blonde when they were about 13 months old. When my eldest was about 9 months old we were at a restaurant and an older American lady was admiring her deep red hair. She said we pay 100s of dollars to get hair that colour! And she was a dyed redhead herself. My own brown hair has a hint of red in sunshine too. A couple of my first cousins have red hair and one of my uncles as well. Oh and we're Irish.
