To feel quite sorry for Carrie Symonds (Bojo girlfriend)

When I saw the picture of her yesterday I felt sad for her. She's still quite young and it must be very isolating being stuck with him. Plus all this Jennifer Arcuri stuff coming out. Obviously if I was her I'd ltb but I suppose that's harder to do in the public eye anyway. I wonder if she'll look back on it later and cringe.

Golly. When I see Carrie Symonds I think of his wife and 4 children. I wonder why?

As I understand it, no one is holding a gun to her head and making her stay with him. She could always walk away if she's miserable ...

And as for his wife and 4 DC - that wife married him just 12 days after he divorced his previous wife - a man who marries his mistress creates a vacancy.

I don't see how she is stuck with him, nobody is forcing her. She could just leave him. I don't feel sorry for her at all.

Yes I feel more sorry for his wife and children obviously. It must be horrendous for them. But she just looks so young and naive.

Yeah, I don't think there's a woman in the UK who doesn't have a vague sense about BJ's multiple mistresses and indeterminate children. If she sees all that and thinks "Yeah, alright" more fool her.

I don't think she's young and naive - she's a well-educated, professional 31 year old! I don't think she's evil or scheming or blame her for how atrociously Boris has treated his children (especially the unacknowledged one(s)) and exes. But I do think she's smart enough to look after herself and probably sees being with Boris as an opportunity.

Are you serious? I most definitely do not feel sorry for the adulteress Carrie Symonds.
I feel far more sorry for the British taxpayer who funds this woman's accommodation in Downing Street in full view of Boris's children.

It's beyond me how anybody could look at Boris and think yeah alright about him.
The man looks like an overgrown toddler, speaks like a pompous village idiot and has kids all over the show - the appeal is obviously lost on me.

@theunknownknown - to be fair, it's not actually clear that they got together before Boris separated from Marina Wheeler. I remember reading that MW and Boris were separated for a long time (without announcing it) before the divorce.

She knew he was married when she shagged him for the first time. He has no respect for women, I can only imagine his money is very sexy.

She's not a naïve 21 year old, she's 31. Of course she's still quite young but she's more than old enough and I imagine, clever enough to know what she's up to. I suppose you notice her relative youth more because Boris is so much older.

I don’t think he has much money. He was at Eton on a scholarship, his second ex-wife would have easily out earned him and the first ex-wife had family cash. Look at the property they bought, in Camberwell, no one with cash would live there if they didn’t absolutely have to. If it was money she was after, she could have done a lot better than Boris. For sure.
