To feel quite sorry for Carrie Symonds (Bojo girlfriend)

When I saw the picture of her yesterday I felt sad for her. She's still quite young and it must be very isolating being stuck with him. Plus all this Jennifer Arcuri stuff coming out. Obviously if I was her I'd ltb but I suppose that's harder to do in the public eye anyway. I wonder if she'll look back on it later and cringe.

That's true. And I think she looks quite young for her age.

She's 31. If she was 21 you might have a point. Everyone who has become involved with Boris knew what they were getting, including Marina Wheeler who iirc was the OW at one point too.
CS is getting something out of this relationship or she wouldn't be there.
I do feel sorry for BJ's indeterminate number of children

I do wonder what she sees in him every time she’s pictured. I can sort of get a power element for a lot of women but he’s not exactly nailing the whole being The PM thing: yes Carrie has made a name for herself but would you really want to be forever more known as Boris’ partner?

Shes tougher than how she comes across . Shes in a relationship with a high profile man and she knows how the game is played.

Yes, maybe it's this. And I wonder has she not got anyone around her who's saying wtf are you doing.

As pp have said, he's not that rich, he's certainly not good looking, and the 'power' thing well yes he looks inept at being PM. Certainly doesn't come across as a nice man in any way shape or form.

I don’t think she looks young for her age, she just looks like she could be his daughter when she’s with him. She knows exactly what he’s like and the carnage of his private life and still chose to be with him 🤷🏻‍♀️

Every time I see her I think wow he must have some truly amazing animal magnetism in person and be astonishing in the sack, either that or she’s some kind of spy or part of a plan to bring him down at a key moment. I mean who could stand by such a lying, blustering, multiple-cheating, allegedly dodgy-dealing, incompetent, unkempt sack of potatoes/hairy cheesecake and not want to die of embarrassment? She cannot seriously want to be with him long term knowing he will cheat. It’s a mystery.

As an aside I like her v modern dress sense and funky boots, but they’ve been toned down for more recent appearances, presumably by some stylist - boo.

Yes julierat he must have some sort of charisma irl. Perhaps you can either see the appeal Confused Envy or you can't. I suppose some women seem to like arrogant men

I don't feel sorry for her at all. She's slightly older than I am and I have a DH and a baby - if I'm old enough for that, she's definitely old enough to know that shagging BoJo ought to be a NoGo!

She's the close friend of a close friend. From what I know, she is very smart, very good at her job and highly respected, genuinely interested in social and environmental issues and very driven.

What she sees in BoJo, I do not know. She's hardly hard up for money, worth noting that her ex is no oil painting either.

Wiki isn't sure. Its either 5 or 6 in total. He’s probably not sure either.

They do make an odd couple, he's not a lot younger than me and she’s my daughter’s age.

I wonder if he is worth that though pieceofpurplesky especially after his divorce which I don't think's gone through yet? isn't Marina a lawyer so hopefully at least she'll get a good deal from that.
