Thanks to Highfields I have rediscovered the joy of butter this weekend. Toast is DELICIOUS with butter instead of flora on it. Am thinking cupcakes will be twice as nice.

I like better, it's good for you too as long as not in excess.
Wonderful on toast. I also like a ham sandwich with butter.

I meant 'butter'.

What was it with milk in the past?

If you are prepared to pay 82p for a pnt you can get old fashioned ,ilk delivered. I don't get on with milk but I had some delivered yesterday to make a sauce. When I tried to pour it there was a 'plug' of 'top of the milk', I had to get a spoon to get to the milk, and yes I did shake the bottle first.

I mostly have flora because less calories. Butter is so much tastier though!

100g of flora is 619 calories, butter has 717. Ona slice of bread that's a difference of about 5 calories.

Which seems not possible now. What was it with milk in the past? It used to be really creamy. I remember I hated the clots in my cereal. Milk today seems more watery?

Homogenisation. The milk is forced through hoses containing tiny holes to break the cream down and distribute it through the remaining liquid. Lots of suggestion that making the fat molecules so much smaller means they can cross into blood stream and cause health problems.

I buy full fat non-homogenised milk.
