It really drives me mad. You are obviously mainly famous or successful because of connections. I know some are them are talented but surely connections of parents help. David Hasslehoff's daughter has said it. Kelly Osborne, Lilly Allen and loads more.

I don’t know what his parents are at. Is it because they are deluded about themselves that they include their kids in these ludicrous, self-aggrandising announcements?

Iris Law,is a model,She landed a campaign with Burberry.Nothing to do with her parents then.

Jude Law has scattered his seed far and wide, so that’s British acting and modelling taken care of for the next 25 years.

There are exceptions, Toby Stephens is a brilliant actor but I had no idea he was Maggie Smith’s son until I googled him. Toby Jones, son of Freddie, is also a great actor.

It’s not about whether they are brilliant actors, which is subjective, but about whether they were advantages over other brilliant actors because their parents gave them a helping hand.

Acting is not that hard, you know. Despite all the nonsense we have to listen to about the craft and method acting etc. It’s not like being a cardio thoracic surgeon or a tax barrister.

I certainly knew that Toby Stephens was Maggie Smith’s son: I’ve read enough features over the years where he was saying, ‘yes but it was HARDER for me to make it because my parents are in the business’ (bollocks).

I'm not sure Jude Law would necessarily have good looking sons. He's so feminine looking he really needs a more masuline looking woman to balance out his features a bit in their offspring. Otherwise it all gets a bit bland and pasty.

It’s interesting how the children of look so comprehensively like their parents but there’s that something is missing. Being ridiculously good looking is a rare streak that is mostly chance and luck.

Zoe Kravitz is beautiful and I do think Lily Depp is even if she doesn’t have the height.

Yes his father is Freddie Jones "Sandy" from Emmerdale.I had no idea he has famous parents.So it can be done.

The Skarsgard kids have been successful as well. I suppose we'll never know whether they would have got as far without 'the name' though. It does help them to have a modicum of talent but they will also have gotten a leg up due to connections.

Maybe, but how many other 'fantastic' actors are driving delivery vans or working in Primark because they didn't have a famous dad and didn't go to Oxford?

You or I may not know who his mother was, but you can be certain that casting agents, directors, etc. knew perfectly well who she was.

Same with Duncan Jones. I think he deserves a lot of respect for playing down his family background but again, whatever he chose to call himself, the people who counted will have known exactly who he and his father were.
