Well, I fully respect your right to report me. I asked you in a lighthearted way if you were a certain trans activist. Maybe the added emoji wasn’t jokey enough. And then in my follow up I pointed out that you wanting women to be “carefully monitored” is the kind of sinister attitude that trans activists share, and while that post wasn’t accusing you of being that person, I stand by the statement that you seem to share this similar belief. I guess we will let MNHQ decide, I’m happy to go with their decision, because I know, on the whole, they do the right thing.

I see that Unilever jettisoned these products a couple of years ago, selling to Upfield . The declining sales of margarines / spreads in general seems to be one of the factors behind the sale. Seems like Upfield want to hasten a further downturn in sales.

It’s not a filter. It’s normal Mumsnet suspicion. It’s no different to a normal AIBU thread when someone posts for the first time about a weird topic (usually sex), there are always raised eyebrows Hmm. MNHQ will either confirm it’s a genuine poster or pull it. Every single week in FWR someone starts a trolling thread. Well known TRAs openly admit to monitoring and frequently screen shoot. Other TRAs regularly re-register, despite being previously banned, to stir shit. So it’s only natural whenever there’s a thread defending women’s rights and people are telling those women that they should stop talking so much, be more monitored and continue to buy Flora, that it might raise suspicion that they may not be posting in good faith. Only MNHQ know for sure, and in a forum that allows name changing, it’s something you have to live with if you name change.

Every poll I've seen in newspapers or online shows that the vast majority of 'ordinary' people do not believe that TWAW, no matter how many laws are changed or how women are castigated for trying to defend our rights. The figures vary from 85% to 95%.

Almost nobody believes it, so if you claim that not believing TWAW is transphobia you have an ocean of transphobia to point at.

No, it's not. A certain area has a certain undercurrent though. Yes to self ID concerns, valid, yes to free speech and discussion, valid..... all should be allowed. Righto . Just off now to shops. Got a list of ingredients for DC food tec class this week. One of the requested items is margarine. I will not be purchasing any of Upfield's products. So minus one sale.
