To re-heat 4 day old takeaway?

I'd just like a quick poll on whether IABU or not because I really fancy popping the leftover Chinese food in the oven that we ordered on Friday. I normally have a cast iron stomach so I'd have no problem but DH is less keen.
Opinions welcome Smile

I wouldn't, I wouldn't even reheat it the following day, because they're rarely fresh to start with, plus I usually polish it all off the day we get it!

BalanchineBallet · 08/10/2019 20:15

I normally reheat everything and pay no heed to sell by dates.... but I’d draw the line at that I’m afraid.

WhenISnappedAndFarted · 08/10/2019 20:15

I wouldn't especially with prawns.

LadyAndiBella · 08/10/2019 20:16

Personally I don't eat takeaways because they are expensive and unhealthy. If you want a take away buy it fresh ( Well as fresh as you get with a takeaway anyway)
Four day old takeaway is manky. Lord knows how long it was lying around the takeaway or how many times it was reheated before it got to your family.

LoseLooseLucy · 08/10/2019 20:17

The thought of it being a bit furry is knocking me sick 😣😷

SparklyMagpie · 08/10/2019 20:19

No fucking way. Making me gag at the thought of 4 days

onanothertrain · 08/10/2019 20:19

If its been it the fridge, isn't furry and smells OK I would

Fredastaireatemyjamsandwich · 08/10/2019 20:20

I’m hardcore, eat cheese/bacon etc weeks after sell by date, but no way would I risk prawns chicken and pork 4 days after.

BigSandyBalls2015 · 08/10/2019 20:20

PRAWNS ... fuck me .... NOOO and I’m usually very chilled about food and reheating/dates

100PercentThatBitch · 08/10/2019 20:24

Prawns AND Pork ?! Two days would be pushing it!

partysong · 08/10/2019 20:26

You're brave. I was so sick after 4 day old rice that my muscles throbbed ...

managedmis · 08/10/2019 20:28

I'm a bit flighty when it comes to leftovers but that takes the cake

Prawns too ugh

Wolfiefan · 08/10/2019 20:29

You can’t smell everything that could make you sick. And I don’t mean a spot of a dodgy tummy. I mean seriously ill in hospital.

LEELULUMPKIN · 08/10/2019 20:31

Nah that is grim. Day after is my limit.

Wheninfrome · 08/10/2019 20:32

It looked and smelled fine. All mixed up into an ovenproof dish 200 degrees, set timer for 45 minutes. Done it before with 3 day old takeaway (including prawns and rice) even DH is now on board.
Will update in 24 hours if I don't cork it 😂

CherryPavlova · 08/10/2019 20:34

Definitely not. To high risk.

twirlypoo · 08/10/2019 20:35

YOU. WILL. DIE!!!!

Seriously, order another!!

BrutusMcDogface · 08/10/2019 20:36

Bloody hell. You’re mad. I hope you’re ok after that!! 🤢

Instatwat · 08/10/2019 20:36

Oh god, you’re —mad— brave! Prawns AND rice 😱

I’m really blasé about stuff like this but I wouldn’t leave takeaway longer than 48 hours.

DrWAnker · 08/10/2019 20:36

Jings, you're brave 🤣
I was going to join the chorus of I eat pretty much anything and ignore dates but I'd not feed 4 day old takeaway to my dog Grin.
So I'm quite interested to see how this pans out...rice,prawns and pork you say???🤔

LoseLooseLucy · 08/10/2019 20:36

So long, OP 😥

shinynewapple · 08/10/2019 20:37

If it had been immediately cooked and refrigerated I may risk it the day after - but after 4 days no way . I hope it doesn't make u bad.

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 08/10/2019 20:37

Godspeed, op

ImTakingTheEssence · 08/10/2019 20:38

I'll pray for you Grin

Mrsmummy90 · 08/10/2019 20:39

I would've just ordered another.

Better stock up on loo roll op! It's gonna be a loooooong night!
