To re-heat 4 day old takeaway?

I'd just like a quick poll on whether IABU or not because I really fancy popping the leftover Chinese food in the oven that we ordered on Friday. I normally have a cast iron stomach so I'd have no problem but DH is less keen.
Opinions welcome Smile

X-post. Especially not with prawns - far too risky.

mnthrowaway2099 · 08/10/2019 20:05

To be honest I’m surprised you still have any of the takeaway left after 4 days

If it’s been kept in the fridge and looks/smells fine then go for it I suppose. But it’s telling that you still have some leftover from Friday, guessing it wasn’t that nice?

hoxt · 08/10/2019 20:05

Not the rice, no.

Shelvesoutofbooks · 08/10/2019 20:05

I would eat it after 4 days but not if it had seafood in it.

Bayleaf25 · 08/10/2019 20:06

No way! Far too risky.

MyAuntyBadger · 08/10/2019 20:07

I would, but in the words of Micky Flanagan "You could give me arsenic and I'd be alright in an hour". I've eaten reheated 4 day old prawn fried rice and no problems.

GeorgiaGirl52 · 08/10/2019 20:07

If it was refrigerated - no problem!
If it was left out for a while - just no!

GonnaBeMaayy · 08/10/2019 20:08

Nooooooo.

GonnaBeMaayy · 08/10/2019 20:08

But do come back and tell if you’re still alive after

Pukkatea · 08/10/2019 20:09

OP this is the wine talking...step away from the takeaway!

WhoCaresWins01 · 08/10/2019 20:09

I'm pretty easy going but no way would I eat that!

Wheninfrome · 08/10/2019 20:10

mnthrowaway99 it was gorgeous but there was loads hence we had leftovers but have been away from home - otherwise I can guarantee it would have been heated and snaffled Saturday night in front of Strictly!

I don't eat left over takeaway the next day let alone 4 days later, you dont know how fresh it was on friday, it could have been two days old then and reheated a few times, dont do it Grin

gamerchick · 08/10/2019 20:10

4 days? Please come back in a couple of days and tell us you survived Grin

Order another one man.

cushioncovers · 08/10/2019 20:11

Let's us know how you get on 😂

Wolfiefan · 08/10/2019 20:11

What Jay said.
Absolutely not.

outherealone · 08/10/2019 20:11

I had Saturday nights takeaway tonight. I’m not dead.

Yet.

Billballbaggins · 08/10/2019 20:11

Nah my limit is 48hrs max

Lauren83 · 08/10/2019 20:11

I would the day after but defo not 4 days as it was likely made a couple of days before you bought it

PickAChew · 08/10/2019 20:12

Yuck.

Crawley65 · 08/10/2019 20:12

I’m fairly easy going and do the sniff test but I wouldn’t eat a takeaway older than two days max.

Walnutwhipster · 08/10/2019 20:12

Four day old prawns! I'd get the loo roll in the freezer and book your bed in the local A&E now to save time.

Wheninfrome · 08/10/2019 20:13

I think I'll open the cartons and see if it still looks/smells ok.
Will up-date .........,,
