I’m so fed up with all this vegan wankery

To all you actual vegans, amazing, I wish you a long and happy life.

I am just so fed up with veganism taking over the world, when I have yet to come across an actual one. *edited to say that some places in the world don’t have a choice

Restaurants falling over themselves with vegan menus offering fake meat and plastic cheese.

Veganuary - people just going to the supermarket and buying fake meat, rather than actually trying to eat differently.

People eating ‘vegan food’. Just eat an apple, or a carrot with houmous or any other naturally occurring food that an animal hasn’t produced. It’s not hard.

And I can’t even begin with all the plant based twattery. Many people have been quietly eating less or no meat, fish, eggs & dairy for many years and have had no need to pontificate about it.

I know I am probably being unreasonable but I just need to say it.

Why eat something that masquerades as something you won't/don't want to eat?

Because I like the taste and texture of meat but don’t want to eat animals.

Substitutes don’t have the taste or texture of meat. I accidentally bought some vegan bacon once, it was lightly flavoured cardboard.

Totally understand not wanting to eat animals, don’t understand eating substitutes that taste like rubbish. I think you have to accept that if you don’t want to eat animals, you will not be eating food that has the taste or texture of meat. Even the Linda McCartney vegetarian stuff that can taste ok does not taste like meat.

Ruling out human behaviours, Every single animal. will be eaten by another animal ( usually alive) or die of disease or lack of food or water.
We aren’t the problem.

Our huge brains should make us known better, not behave worse. Factory farming is barbaric and unnecessary.

No other animal causes so much destruction to the planet we live on. 90% of farmed animals are raised intensively. There is nothing natural about it at all. Nothing.

and Dairy is the worst. What is natural about drinking the breast milk of another species - into adulthood? We don’t need human breast milk after the age of around 12 months. Why on earth would we consume an entirely different species’.

we have been conned by the big Ag and Milk industry. And it comes at a huge cost to our own health and that of the planet.

So dream on that it’s natural. It absolutely isn’t.
