I'm 37, a mum of 3 with a profession job.
I've just bought a pair of the patent black 8 eye.

Is it a bit tragic, mutton dressed as lamb? Or fashionable freedom?
YABU - mutton dressed as lamb
YaNBU - go for it

I wear them to work and I'm in my fifties.

Comfortable and practical

I'm knocking on the door of 50 and wear DMs virtually all year. I sometimes have a break in summer (if it's warm enough) and swap to Converse/Birkenstocks and my DM sandals Smile

I have many pairs (20 at last count) and some are definitely easier to break in than others. If you want boots, then Serena fur lined ones are amazing - they didn't take any breaking in at all. I have them in light brown and black. Neither did my silver shoes, but I don't think they're available any more.

If you're near the factory shop (Wollaston near Wellingborough) or one of the outlets (York, Chester and possibly others) then you can pick up a bargain.

I'm currently getting used to these beauties, snapped up for an impossible to resist £30 in York a couple of months ago!
