To think that sensible conservatives will not be able to vote for boris after his recent behaviour?

Really? After lying and shutting down democracy and his disgusting performance in parliament today. Surely you can’t vote conservative now unless you’re a very small demographic that they are seemingly targeting. Surely they will lose much of their core vote now . Most folk who vote conservative aren’t are decent, law abiding people. Boris Johnson’s behaviour surely offends the majority?

People are massively hypocritical

Exactly - can you imagine if the BBC had broadcast a similarly violent display by a conservative or leave supporter against one of their political opponents? The people who didn’t give a damn when it happened to Boris would lose their minds.

The agenda is strong on this thread Grin

Xenia · 27/09/2019 11:51

The only solutions I see are (1) MPs get behind the withdrawal agreement which is not too bad, EU27 support and Mrs May and BJ voted for and my Tory remaner |MP voted for (2) not sure... we will probably crash out if they do not accept (1) or something similar.

MPs are not makig it any easier as they will agree nothing. They won't agree to revoke Ar 50. They won't agree to the WA agreement. The EU is offering nothing different. They have agreed BJ should send a letter on 19th asking for more time but that is unlikely to be granted as MPs will be no more certain on 31 Dec as now.

The agenda is strong on this thread

Since the OP’s title is designed to smear Boris, I’d say you’re right! Grin

Trewser · 27/09/2019 11:58

I have absolutely no agenda (well, ok I don't want Labour to get in particuarly but I'd live if they did) other than being vaguely intelligent and being cursed with an ability to see both sides of the argument.

You do know people can see your posts across various threads right....?

Killing myself at “no agenda” Grin

Xenia · 27/09/2019 12:20

I don't know what people mean by no agenda. I would like everyone on mumsnet to choose to vote Conservative because we convince them this is the best party. If that is an agenda mine has not changed since the 1980s.

CendrillonSings · 27/09/2019 12:23

My political agenda is pretty subtle and nuanced, with a number of intricate theoretical turns and pragmatic positions.

I call it “Fuck The Reds”.

HTH Grin

JacquesHammer · 27/09/2019 12:24

And in other news Satan skates to work.

JacquesHammer · 27/09/2019 12:25

I call it “Fuck The Reds”

Whereas “fuck Boris” is a little too much?

Trewser · 27/09/2019 12:26

I genuinely don't have an agenda jacques

Although now I'm not sure what you mean by agenda!

I don't like JC, i used to be a Blairite, I send my kids to private school? BURN THE WITCH

Trewser · 27/09/2019 12:27

Oh sorry you are private school too aren't you? Maybe mixed you up with someone else?

JacquesHammer · 27/09/2019 12:27

I don’t get the need for the wide-eyed faux naïveté.

Or indeed the need to shoe horn the fact your kids are privately educated. Grin I mean it’s hardly a big deal!

Trewser · 27/09/2019 12:28

Does "having an agenda" mean having a political party that you vote for? Genuinely confused!

MarshaBradyo · 27/09/2019 12:28

I don’t think it will op

Trewser · 27/09/2019 12:29

I mentioned that because we've both been on threads about it, or i thought we had.

CendrillonSings · 27/09/2019 12:30

Whereas “fuck Boris” is a little too much?

No, because I’m not a snowflake - call him whatever you like! I just despise hypocrisy.

Trewser · 27/09/2019 12:33

Oh stop being a fucking twat Jacques.

Last time i bother to agree with you on sport and private school!

Yeah yeah delete me whatever.

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 27/09/2019 12:38

Fuck me this thread is depressing.

jasjas1973 · 27/09/2019 12:38

Is that what a private education teaches you? lol!

Trewser · 27/09/2019 12:40

jasjas1973 don't worry jas i was state grammar. My kids are the posh privileged ones.

Random18 · 27/09/2019 12:41

If Labour did win the election - would you shut up ab be quite.

Would you say that Corbyn must be ok because 17 million voted for him?

Someone above said they'll live if Labour get in. Yes you will - of course you will. If any labour policies impact you financially you must be reasonably well off I'm the 1st place.

No Deal now - well that's another ball game. If life saving medicines cannot get into the country it doesn't matter how bloody rich you are.

Trewser · 27/09/2019 12:44

random the point is that Labour are Not going to get in because JC has been bloody awful in opposition. Shocking. Labour should be walking ahead in the polls!

Random18 · 27/09/2019 12:50

Trewser was it not the same in 2017? Ok they didn't get in but they did a lot better than predicted.

If you had asked me 2 months ago would I consider voting Labour - the answer would have been No.

Trewser · 27/09/2019 12:52

But they didn't get in!
