Wank tissue left on sofa

I’ve name changed for this and will no doubt be accused of making this up, or maybe not, don’t know how common this is.

This morning I went into the living room and found a clump of wet tissues on the sofa which my partner had clearly used to dry himself after wanking. I know this is absolutely gross, and I’m furious - was already angry enough and have changed my ways recently so that I’m only doing my own laundry, my own washing up etc as I don’t see why I should have to do his, and now he has left this on the sofa. He did subsequently bin it without me asking (how good of him) but i find it so disrespectful that he’d just leave it there for me to find. I know this reads like a parody post of ‘angry/first world problem mumsnetter’ but it’s sadly not. Is this common? I highly doubt it. We don’t have children thank god.

Right that's it DH and DS can wash their own socks from now on.. do guys really use their sweaty socks to clean up their spunk with??

@AlexaAmbidextra no kids with us so no risk of it going in the machine with baby grows, I've very sensitive skin so we've to do separate washes with different detergents. If we did the same washes I don't think I'd be overly bothered TBH. Love your username BTW.

@Funghi I thought it was weird at first but I assume his way of thinking is why walk the whole way to the bathroom when there is a sock very handy that'll be going in the wash anyway #laziness

Um well...it depends doesn’t it? I am assuming he left it there as an oversight and not intentionally. I couldn’t see this as a reason to be angry as these things do happen. I know I have left a rolled up sanitary pad sitting in the bathroom a handful of times over the years. I’m really not a disgusting freak...but I have got distracted and forgot to bin it. So shred me.

On the other hand, it seems you are struggling with him in general, not pulling his weight...so perhaps it’s the cherry on the icing on the lazy cake.

Is this part of him being generally a lazy scruff? Have you stopped doing stuff for him because he doesn't clean up at all? Or are you both doing/not doing stuff as some kind of protest because you've fallen out? It would really help to have some background OP as it's hard to tell if it was a thoughtless act or one meant to wind you up.

Put a box of tissues by the sofa.
Put a bin by the sofa.

How big are your tissues? I'd say at least a paper towel was necessary, unless you want to take it dripping to the bin/toilet.

Depends if genuine oversight or dirty slob habitual type behaviour tbh? If it was an oversight, I'd say slap on the wrist. If it's dirty slob then, yeah, he needs a kick up the arse. Either way, not nice. I do think if women ejaculated, what with our busy multi-tasking lives, there'd be a lot more discarded tissues lying around....just being honest.

I think spunk sock is a bit of a myth to be honest. Sure a towel or T-shirt is much better than a dirty sock.
I thought most men wanked in the bedroom or bathroom in the shower rather than where their mam sits when she visits

It would explain the unanswered myth of why men end up with so many singular socks though.

And it is a big deal!

Honestly, it is gross but he cleared it up, no kids to find, bit disrespectful, would assume he is embarrassed about it.

DH and me are very happy, (not smug married) but if it happened here I would say "next time tell me and I'll find somewhere better for that to go" (sorry tmi)

Not a myth.
I had no idea lads/men used a sock. I used to wonder why my teenage son's socks were often crusty when I put them in the wash. My daughter explained it to me and said most lads do that. Bloody awful when your daughter has to explain that to you!
They don't use it to wipe up,...they stick their penis in it.
I was too embarrassed to speak to my son about it....This was many years ago.
