Nuggy nugs

Before I get a flaming for eating maccys: I'm a fit, 30 YO woman who does serious cardio 4x a week, with strength training. I'm a healthy size 10-12. I limit sugar, I eat salads etc etc. You get the picture.

I've been out tonight for a wine or two, so I treated myself to some maccys nugs on the way home. I LOVE maccys nugs. I once had a nugs salad because I couldn't finish a share box so had them with salad the next day.

Someone has just told me to stop eating them on the tube as it's disrespectful. I can't work out if I have offended the skinny, the fat, the under privileged or the overprivileged.

I had BBQ sauce. It's not all over my face. I work really hard, I deserve these nugs.

Your nuggy mugs are smelly welly things to eat on the tubey woobey so it’s not surprising other people thing you are an inconsiderate knob-wob. Hmm

shas19 · 20/09/2019 13:30

Nuggy nugs..
Can be abit annoying when food stinks and it's a packed train but are people not forgetting some of the smells people omit themselves by not washing and sitting on a tube? Find that bobby orange smell way more offensive than a chicken nugget fgs

Bellsofstclements · 20/09/2019 13:32

Bet you've got a "love live laugh" sign somewhere in your house.

Hope your head's not too sore this morning.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 20/09/2019 13:32

Oh they do stink - I walk past a maccies every day and it always smells strongly and deliciously of nuggets. I'm always proud when I make it past!

Pukkatea · 20/09/2019 13:39

Jesus some people on here. I constantly have to put up with the foul stench of other people on public transport, a few nuggets is nothing. Night time on the tube is a time where we need to be allowed to eat our post drinking foods in peace!

Pukkatea · 20/09/2019 13:41

Also, for the abbreviated plural form, I prefer nuggi

IScreamForIceCreams · 20/09/2019 13:42

Well, did you grunt whilst eating them?

JassyRadlett · 20/09/2019 14:57

So long as you don’t mind when something who is equally post drinking is sick on your shoes because your smelly food was the final straw for their delicate stomach.

People eating hot smelly food on the tube was the grimmest thing when I was pregnant and was sick every day. These days I have a cast iron stomach, but I also have consideration for others.

KatherineJaneway · 20/09/2019 15:34

I'll be off to Five Guys for a burger then, sounds like the burger to have Grin

sapphiresandchampagne · 20/09/2019 15:44

@Bellsofstclements live laugh love makes me want to vomit. Or maybe that's my hangover.

I'm not a hun. I'm just a girl, who's trying to live her life...I jest.

For anyone who doesn't see the funny side of things - nuggy nugs was MEANT to be a wee joke.

If you manage to be sick and get it on my seated feet at the mere smell of some white meat maybe you shouldn't be drinking so much or out in public. I swear people on mumsnet go faint at the suggestion of any smell from food, everyone is so delicate.

Duchessgummybuns · 20/09/2019 16:21

Everyone who hasn’t had a Five Guys burger should do so right now immediately. The fries are awesome too. Bring lots of money though.

SimonJT · 20/09/2019 16:28

As someone who gets the tube to work, the smell is already bad enough without adding the stink of takeaway.

Were you on the Northern line by any chance, I was sharing a carriage with someone eating mcdonalds all the way to old street.

Phoebesfleas · 20/09/2019 16:36

Op, you’ve made me laugh. Nuggy nugs is the new word for nuggets as far as I’m concerned. Also I don’t see an issue with takeaways on the tube after 8pm either.
You’ve brought out all the snobby snobs on this thread, anyone can see its lighthearted!

ElizaDee · 20/09/2019 16:42

Ywnbu. I live the nug life too.

sapphiresandchampagne · 20/09/2019 16:47

@Phoebesfleas 🙏

Wanna share some nugs and lament the snobby snobs and oh-so-serious Sally's sometime? And then watch Fleabag?

5 guys is shit

Jennifer2r · 20/09/2019 16:49

I love this thread. You've possibly upset them more than talking about a toilet brush, which is rarely achieved. 5 stars OP Smile

00100001 · 20/09/2019 16:50

YABU - their nuggets are grim.

TomHagenMakesMyBosomTremble · 20/09/2019 16:57

I also fail to get the FiveGuys love. And their portions are enormous!!

flyingspaghettimonster · 20/09/2019 17:00

Am I the only person who gets stabby at people using made up words like "nuggy nugs" and "Maccys"? It actually makes me cringe. Like people eating noisily.

sapphiresandchampagne · 20/09/2019 17:01

@Jennifer2r you make me blush!

OP posts:
Spudlet · 20/09/2019 17:04

Damn you op, it’s been years (like more than a decade) since I had a Mcdonalds and now I really want some McNuggets. Angry

NameChangeNugget · 20/09/2019 17:07

It does smell and is antisocial

Lowlandlucky · 20/09/2019 17:21

Never get eating on the go, but enjoy them if thats what makes you happy today
