I’ve just made myself some salt and pepper on toast. First discovered as a poor student when literally all I had in the house was value white sliced bread, cheap margarine and salt and pepper. It’s very nice! I’m now 41 and I make it with nice bread and butter, Maldon salt and freshly ground pepper though Smile

Sometimes I like to eat a bit of stock cube too

Anyone else?

I love sweet and salty...

McDonald's chips dipped in strawberry milkshake.
Walkers ready salted crisps with a bit of Cadbury choc on.
Salted popcorn and minstrels...
Mustard on toast

Oh and lucky charms

I'm 32 and I eat lucky charms

NuttyNutty · 19/09/2019 20:46

Banana omelette 😁

skyye · 19/09/2019 20:52

@townlass ooh no I can't do salt and vinegar crisps... might try that with ready salted though!

Rainbowknickers · 19/09/2019 20:53

I know someone who raves about salad-with gravy...

I myself love a raw chip and I have mustard with just about everything-but it’s gotta be Aldi’s mustard-I hate any other brand

I also love salt on toast-I butter my toast and then sprinkle salt on it

Sew3stitch · 19/09/2019 21:07

Pickled beetroot straight from the jar.

Cheese singles aka plastic cheese with ketchup sandwiches. Has to be the cheapest white bread for the full experience.

Also love condensed milk sandwiches 😋

@lumpy76

Thank you. That was it.

Grin
Feelthethunder · 19/09/2019 21:16

@Franklymydearidontgiveadam same but without milk.

ChickenyChick · 19/09/2019 21:30

When I was a student, i’d sometimes have a pint packet of cold custard for breakfast. A boy who stayed over got a complete fit of the giggles when he saw.

I also used to snack on a raw potato or a raw onion.

It was all lack of money really.... custard gives you a lot of calories for your cash Grin

I love peanut butter and golden syrup on toast. Mmmmm.

Fowles94 · 19/09/2019 21:51

I love pasta with mushrooms, onions and sweet soy sauce. I also like ready salted crisps with vinegar on them. Don't know if it counts as different but noodle butties 🤤

Lobsterquadrille2 · 19/09/2019 22:01

I love prawns, including the shell, legs and tail. I chop off the head up to the eyes and eat the rest.

palepinkflowers · 19/09/2019 22:02

(Chopped) Chives and a little salt on toasted and buttered sourdough.

GiveUsACoffee · 19/09/2019 22:45

Bombay mix with grated cheese

cheesenpickles · 19/09/2019 23:07

I like anchovies from the deli and eating the entire pot in one go. French's American mustard sandwiches. Dipping toast in lime pickle and Frank's Red Hot Sauce. Cauliflower in those dips with thousand island dressing etc. Jalapeños from the jar.

mrswx · 19/09/2019 23:19

Pasta with beans and cheese

toffeeghirlinatwirl · 20/09/2019 00:12

Salted butter spread thickly on lightly toasted white bread, dipped in a hot mug of tea.
Tinned tomatoes over boiled rice, topped with mint sauce
Sage and onion stuffing mix (don’t bother putting in the oven)
Packet mash with grated cheese and onion

I came home extremely drunk last week and made poached eggs and tossed a pot noodle over them. No idea where that inspiration came from. I’ve never done that before. Surprised to see a pp mention it!

I’m going to try the cake mixes and the cheese & jam combos Wink

Lilymossflower · 20/09/2019 00:46

Chips and hummus

OnTheBorderline · 20/09/2019 00:54

Potato waffle sandwich ❤️

Ippydippyskyblue · 20/09/2019 02:53

After having a roast dinner, then how to sup up all the gravy, so that it’s not wasted!

Use over cook cabbage, put a load of it between two slices of bread, which has been absolutely drenched with loads of vinegar and gravy, mixed up together.
Yum!!! Grin

Pikachusmum · 20/09/2019 03:00

Toasted pitta bread with salt and vinegar dipped in ketchup.

KatherineJaneway · 20/09/2019 06:23

Chips with a tin of spaghetti hoops over them. Comfort food of the highest order.

Dillydallyalltheway · 20/09/2019 07:44

A jug of gravy with mint sauce in it, another one fro Student days, instant taste of a roast dinner Smile also when I was pregnant I had a real need for tinned peach sandwiches.

HeronLanyon · 20/09/2019 09:46

Second mint sauce - great with chips as is gravy of course.
I never have plain baked beans but fry a red onion and put loads of capers and caper juice in them too. Friends say this is ‘wrong and disgusting’. I find it cuts the sweetness and ‘djushes’ up the blandness a treat.

Mannersstillcostnothing · 20/09/2019 09:53

McDonald's nugget happy meal with chocolate milkshake eaten using milkshake as a dip and packet sage and onion stuffing with vanilla ice cream.
