Long time user. Love Mumsnet for intelligent, considered, witty discussions. Genuinely has introduced me to new concepts and made me think of things in new lights.

In the last month or so, posters seem....well.....different. Can’t think how to put it without sounding condescending or offensive.

Anyone else noticed this? Am I going mad?

Since it’s become more popular and the type of poster giving advice has changed there certainly isn’t the same no nonsense LTB mentality that we’re used to.

There’s a lot more “oh he’s just a man, he’s trying, bless him” type replies.

I agree, used to be you would know how a thread was going to go by reading the OP. Now I often get a couple of posts in and think WTF. Seems a bit less nasty overall although been some right arse hole comments in the last couple of days.

I am sure I'll get deleted at the very least but it's incredibly low brow now.

Netmums is still going....I get emails from the site. I clicked a link the other day to find it was a duplicate letter from this site. Not just similar but word for word the same. What's that about?

Yes. But it has undergone so many difficulties in the last eight weeks or so that many users have completely given it up. Now it's back online it has changed beyond recognition.

There is an increase in kisses xxx I think some users are just using generic forum speak which never offends.

Well this thread comes up an a quarterly basis, so nothing has changed as far as I can see.
