I am not transgender but I was at senior school with a girl from a very small age did not want to be a girl. They absolutely hated being referred to as a girl or conforming to wearing girls uniform, and was so unhappy. It was not that they wanted to be a train driver and people kept giving out Barbies . They felt their entire body was ‘wrong’. They transitioned as a young adult and has been happy ever since. Also did not have any other MH issues I am aware of except depression related to feeling ‘wrong’.

This essence of girl is certainly not something that most women identify with

I do though. Which is how I know I'll never be trans however much I hear or read about it.

But regarding being threatened daily and alarming murder rate why don't the very vocal and very powerful organisations and individuals who are trying to make damaging changes to the GRA and take safe spaces, shortlists, sporting places etc from women, focus on addressing the type of human that makes these threats and commits these murders? Because taking away from women is way easier than doing something about the men who do these things.

The impression and understanding I have is that men have a much more difficult time passing as trans women visually and therefore go to more extreme lengths to pass, which can become offensive to women because it’s so far removed from what women feel is reality

Intolerance - we've been there already but just to refresh - not accepting men dressing as they want without forcing them to change their bodies/names/pronouns - is one of the most intolerant things I've ever read. Why do you want them to change their bodies/names/pronouns in order to accept them as the 'woman' they are? Why can't you just accept them as men?

Did you see the news report when a pregnant woman who had changed all her notes to 'male' went into an emergency room; and the baby dies as the staff were unable to treat her as a pregnant woman, but had to treat her as a man?
