To think the Daily Mail fawning over Princess Charlotte is too much

Five stories today including one on the teacher’s house price and clothes!

And loads of obsequious and grovelling comments about Charlotte and Kate.

“Dearest Catherine - doubt you read the Daily Mail, but please, please grow your family! One or two more babies! They are darling!”

“Royal fans went into meltdown on social media as they reacted to the touching photos of Charlotte's first day.

One wrote: 'Sobbing at pictured of little Princess Charlotte starting school with her big brother”.

What on Earth?
🤷🏻‍♀️

Couldn't be arsed to read that shite to be honest.

Beaverdam · 05/09/2019 14:12

Really weird.

KateWrong · 05/09/2019 14:16

I haven’t read it but this sounds ridiculously over the top.... this child is no more important or special than any other

ChangeItChild · 05/09/2019 14:17

It's nice to see cute kids in their first day of school - not just the RF but any kids - I love the first day if school FB posts I see, it takes me back to when mine were they age.

But...YANBU nobody needs to see 5 articles in one day, over 24 photos etc. It's too much, the papers are so weirdly obsessed with the RF ;poor kids having to face a bank of photographers on their first day in) I haven't seen the article referring to the teachers clothing and the cost of her house, how invasive...poor lady.

Orangecake123 · 05/09/2019 14:17

Even creepier was them doing an article of what she would look like in her uniform a week before. With her face photo shopped on another child's body.

It should remain a private event, she's just a little grl at the end of the day.

pottedshrimps · 05/09/2019 14:18

I suppose we at least get to see her, unlike the wrapped up baby.

Biggobyboo · 05/09/2019 14:19

The teacher is pregnant and one comment slated her for it as she won’t be around to teach Charlotte and she should plan her life around the royals.

Another comment said it was disgraceful that the teacher wasn’t married and pregnant!

Nauseating stuff. Who are these losers who post such sycophantic drivel. They should get a life Hmm

Bunglefromrainbow · 05/09/2019 14:19

If you are expecting enlightened content that is aimed at people of reasonable intelligence then I'd suggest you're looking in the wrong place. YABU to expect better from that shit rag.

KateWrong · 05/09/2019 14:21

I suppose we at least get to see her, unlike the wrapped up baby

Is it really that important to get to see a random child? Confused

stucknoue · 05/09/2019 14:27

She's a very cute little girl but that's all, let her be a kid!

Biggobyboo · 05/09/2019 14:27

The comments such as, “happy first day little princess” 🤢

None of the royals care about us. Why don’t people focus on their own lives and families instead of bowing and scraping to these people?

Of course it is. The DM says that this minority Royal (similar level to Princess Eugenie ffs) is public property and the dark skinned devil mother is keeping her from her rightful place in the public gaze.....

HauntedPinecone · 05/09/2019 14:30

Dearest Catherine - doubt you read the Daily Mail, but please, please grow your family! One or two more babies! They are darling

That makes me want to throw up! Who could be that invested in the contents of a strangers womb? Creepy as fuck.

Digestive28 · 05/09/2019 14:31

And the more articles mean less articles on Prince Andrew and his links to Epstein...so until Andrew learns to behave himself reckon we we will be pushed to read loads of positive Kate and Wills articles

BrexitBingoGenerator · 05/09/2019 14:35

It’s totally batshit, you are so right. I started a thread here years ago about how weird I thought all the fawning over Prince George was - he’s a perfectly lovely boy I’m sure but no more or less than anyone else’s lovely boy Confused. Anyway, I got utterly slated and couldn’t look at mumsnet for ages afterwards- some of the Dm commenters must have been out in force that day!

I hope Charlotte has had a smashing first day, just as I hope that all the other kids starting school this week have too Smile

jesuschristwtf · 05/09/2019 14:39

Maybe read another paper then? Or was another article of you don’t like the look of that one?

Quirrelsotherface · 05/09/2019 14:39

What were you doing reading the DM and then looking at and pasting the comments here. Did you post one yourself? Like it or not, there have always been millions of people who love the Royals and anything to do with them. Millions who don't, too. Live and let live.

Biggobyboo · 05/09/2019 14:41

jesuschristwtf - ah, so you are the person who wrote the sobbing with happiness over Charlotte comment!

OP posts:
Baguetteaboutit · 05/09/2019 14:41

Yeah, I think they are all on overtime with damage limitation before Andrew gets hauled into the courtroom.

Biggobyboo · 05/09/2019 14:42

Quirrelsotherface - and? It’s a free country (ish) and there is nothing to stop me copying and pasting comments.

OP posts:
GruciusMalfoy · 05/09/2019 14:42

"Dearest Catherine" 😂

It's all ridiculous, but part and parcel of DM "journalism".

Biggobyboo · 05/09/2019 14:42

Sooner Andrew gets taken down the better. Republic please.

OP posts:
CarrieBlu · 05/09/2019 14:43

How dare they give a young child any sense of security or privacy!? Don’t they know he’s public property? Get a grip @pottedshrimps

gingersausage · 05/09/2019 14:44

Why on earth are you reading it though? I mean yes, it’s vomit inducing, but they write it because people read it, you included. The fact that you hate-read it doesn’t matter to the statistics-bots, you still add up as a page hit.
