I have a bath once or more a week, depending on double dipping with my partner. It's really ok, no one will notice the difference, apart from the environment..

@Sarahlou63 I don't need to go to poop school to know a dry wipe won't effectively clean your arse. Only water and soap can do that.

I shower and wash my hair everyday. 5 mins 7 mins max I’m in and out of the shower, no lingering around.

If I have a lazy weekend I can def smell myself after 24 hours and that’s using the mandated simple soap and Mitchum that I love

SilenceMeansWhatAreTheyUpTo · 03/09/2019 00:23

As a child of the 60s when family members used to share the same bath water, I find double dipping a gross practice ... so how is a number of people sharing a small hot tub any different? (Sorry if a bit OT but I've often wondered ... AND the water doesn't even get changed at the end, just treated with chemicals, presumably...)

Do people bath their babies every nappy change then?

FireBloodAndIce · 03/09/2019 09:32

Perhaps you'd be ok in winter but given some of the sweltering days we've had here you will have whiffed. You just won't have smelt it and people will have been too polite to say. You need to at least wash every day in summer as you sweat in bed in the heat.

Witchofzog · 03/09/2019 09:41

@serenDippitty This is why people use wipes or cotton balls n water to wipe their baby after a poo

Ilovemypantry · 03/09/2019 12:37

Silent
This is why I avoid hot tubs and swimming pools 🤮

Grim Confused
I shower every single day as soon as I get home from work or the gym. I'm a carer, there's no way I couldn't shower as soon as getting home. I wouldn't sit on my sofa without first showering, putting clean clothes on and sticking my uniform straight in to wash too. Same goes for when I've done an hour or so at the gym.
Throughout the summer on sweaty hot nights I'll shower first thing in the morning too.

OP are you particularly inactive?
As a very active person, I like to keep myself clean.

What a strange backdoor brag...

motherheroic · 03/09/2019 18:53

@SerenDippitty What parent do you know that uses a dry tissue to wipe their babies bottom? Didn't think that one through did you?

TwatCat · 03/09/2019 20:06

I can't smell my own washing powder, the same as a smoker can't smell their own smokey clothes, and I can barely ever notice my own perfume or deodorant but others can. It's the smells we get used to. So we can't smell ourselves. If you're not bathing for a week you'll smell but you won't smell it. Others will though.
