I don't shower every day, and wash my armpits every other (24hr deo)

I have a bath once or more a week, depending on double dipping with my partner. It's really ok, no one will notice the difference, apart from the environment..

Trust me OP you DO smell people are being polite in real life...they can smell that you don’t shower but are too nice to tell you that you stink!

I would try it but I smell like a cheese pasty after 24 hours.

I don't want to stink like a goat. I don't want to save money on water, it's no big deal to take a three minute shower.

Are you quite sedentary? I usually shower every other day as that's when I exercise and I'd be a right stinker otherwise. I do think some people wash too much though (like every day or twice a day is excessive to me!)

I cycle 18 miles a day Monday to Friday. I would positively ming if I didn't shower every day.

My MIL has a shower rarely and she always looks grubby. My BIL is much worse his hands and nails are filthy!

I can smell someone who not bathed in the last 24 hours but im nhs worker so nose is finally tuned. Im not bothered, your smell up to you. Believe me you will have a smell but its no ones problem but yours, if yoy like it, so be it! Just had this arguement with pil. Told fil everything has a smell even their house. In their case it smells of cleaning fluid but he didnt believe me. It wasnt a bad smell! Im dyslexia so i see things in smell sometimes.

If you unable with your smell maybe bath abit more.

The majority of posters on mumsnet are completely convinced that their own choices and comfort trump any other concern, environmental or otherwise.

I don’t know any fit and healthy older people who don’t wash every day even if a strip ash type thing. I’ve worked with hundreds of older people over the year. Sorry but you do smell. 🤷🏻‍♀️
