I can't help but chime in.
Walked passed ER in our small town last weekend. There is a aggressive, superior and smug yet ignorant vibe about them. Distinctly comfortable middle class (as am I) but with that air of contempt towards those who don't jump on their particular bandwagon who are branded uneducated and what not.
Anyhow, the ER 'activists' were all lying on the ground dressed up like casualties and shouting all sorts of slogans. Fine, whatever, but it came across as SO pretentious. And worse they were handing out masses of glossy colour printed leaflets. They gave our family 3 leaflets
so that's a bit of a crappy waste there. And why not use recycled paper or be more innovative than handing out bloody leaflets? Not quite so clever after all.
I believe OP and wouldn't be surprised if they are bloody xenophobes.
They published other website: "most prison officers are black and do not wish to give you a hard time" as advice to those who get themselves arrested. www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-trending-48147915 Bloody racist comment, but not surprising at all smug idiots.
I'd like to know who founded ER and how ethically they operate. Their campaigning style feels very male, aggressive and entitled without empathy somehow.
And with regards to artificial meat..... Surely producing, marketing and selling man made meat is ONLY in the interest of big food corporations. They'll happily add it to their list of artificial processed crappy and synthetic foods and control what humanity eats. I wouldn't touch that stuff.
Also, who needs to eat meat every day? Surely that's unhealthy. Just eat a plant based varied diet with fish and meat thrown in occasionally, job done.
I have no time ER, even the name is utterly pretentious and purposefully emotive. Can't stand them.
