AIBU to be annoyed with dh?

He has taken dc to captain candy in Dubrovnik Croatia which is essentially a pick n mix place. He bought three bags of sweets and it came to £99.

The price is unclear and it is a tourist trap.

If anyone goes to captain candy please avoid.

When Woolies was closing down I bought I whole shallow (wholesale) cardboard box full of strawberry bon bons for a few quid. I ate so many of them that I hate them now

Yep. One bag of pick n mix from those american candy shops on Oxford street ended up being £37 for me. I was already at the till so I couldn't go back to return them all.

I felt completely robbed. I had to plaster a smile on my face too.

Kids wanted pick and mix at Silverstone last year. They didn't particularly enjoy the experience so we said they could if they were good, we had one bag of sweets (they all chose 1 or 2 items) and it came to £40! I'm still peeved about that. I don't even eat sweets! Our local range store has cups for 1.99!

Yes thanks the bill is on my phone. The sweets are in the room. Dd said they made her feel sick. I told her she has to ear them at £33 a go!

I’m off to Dubrovnik in a few weeks, and am a massive sweet fiend. So I appreciate the warning or I’d have ended up in the same position!

Fond memories of the Food and Farming show in Hyde Park in 1992. There was pick n mix, cups given out to all that wanted them and fill them up for free. It was fab.
