£99 on sweets

AIBU to be annoyed with dh?

He has taken dc to captain candy in Dubrovnik Croatia which is essentially a pick n mix place. He bought three bags of sweets and it came to £99.

The price is unclear and it is a tourist trap.

If anyone goes to captain candy please avoid.

I can't believe it still.

Ridiculous!

If you go to any very touristy area and see a shop called something like "Captain Candy" / "Candy World" / "World of Sweets" etc then your alarm bells should already be ringing that it's going to be an utter tourist trap rip off.

YANBU to be annoyed with DH. He had several opportunities to avoid this.

In a beautiful ancient city, he decided to take the children to "Captain Candy" of all places. Mistake one.

Having gone into this tourist trap, he should not have allowed them to pick anything before checking the prices. Mistake two.

Having got to the checkout, he should have refused to pay the ridiculous price. Mistake three.

£99 will buy an awful lot of ice cream to make up for the disappointment of not getting the exact same pick and mix you can buy on your local high street.
