Sure the dress is alright (not my style) but God is it spiralling out of control.

I’ve just read this www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/the-zara-dress_uk_5d516d12e4b0fd2733f353b1

and can’t quite believe people are mocking and posting pictures of strangers on an Instagram account and hashtag dedicated to a bloody dress.

It's horrible Confused

TwistedStrawberry · 16/08/2019 15:13

I've never heard of this before.

It's a horrible dress! Unflattering length, horrible high neck, yuck!

verticality · 16/08/2019 15:20

I would have loved for this thread to have been a poll so we could have seen what % of people are blind actually do like the dress.

Que? [scratches head in puzzlement].

Confused
MargotsFlounceyBlouse · 16/08/2019 15:28

Dear lord I'd look like a pillow in that Grin

BinkyBaa · 16/08/2019 15:29

Can anyone explain to me why this dress is so popular? It looks about as unique as a plain black t shirt to me.

BlooperReel · 16/08/2019 15:29

Never heard of it, and not that keen to be honest.

ScaryBunnyPainting · 16/08/2019 15:29

Women really need to move on from making other women feel shit about inconsequential stuff, there's so much else we can be doing

That’s sort of my point. I get the marketing hype, even if I don’t like the dress, and I don’t care what anyone wears. What I find troubling is many people being photographed and smeared across the Internet. As someone said on a previous page, it’s the whole “basic white girl” and “basic” thing gone too far.

It looks like a spotty tent!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 16/08/2019 15:42

Haven't seen or heard of this dress

It's not reached my part of Scotland

It may be while then regina

I'm in the North-East and it hasn't permeated our corner of the UK yet, either. (Assuming it's going upwards from The South, rather than downwards from The Arctic Circle)

But frankly -The Permissive Society took until 2000 to reach here, though now it has it's gone bananas!

stucknoue · 16/08/2019 15:45

I've never seen that dress before, Zara is a bit pricey for these parts, we are primark and asda territory, even next is posh!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 16/08/2019 15:48

Never mind the dress, did anyone else spot this on the Sun link?

www.thesun.co.uk/fabulous/9721275/two-bendy-willies-and-a-brief-moment-of-passion-my-night-with-a-male-sex-doll/

Bloody hell Womble - that's repulsive!

It's got tits, ffs! < boak >

I'm not surprised the road-tester resorted to a "do-it-yourself" job.

Bezalelle · 16/08/2019 15:49

I dyed mine blue with Dylon!

It's a bit annoying that Vogue is getting in on it with a special "day" to wear the dress. Just let it be an organic meme and don't try to capitalise on it.

AryaStarkWolf · 16/08/2019 15:50

Never heard of the Zara dress thing

justasking111 · 16/08/2019 15:52

Primark are a bit slow on the uptake this time

historysock · 16/08/2019 15:56

I've seen the dress on a few people here in the SE. I tried it on (before it was known as 'the dress', and it made me look like a huge spotted tent. I don't get it really but each to their own

OhtheHillsareAlive · 16/08/2019 16:08

It's not a very nice dress, is it? It looks a bit polyester-ish and baggy

I’m in London and literally see someone in it every day. Its popularity is baffling.

Superfoodie123 · 16/08/2019 16:25

It's an alright dress but have no idea why so many women want to wear something so many others are buying due to a fad/trend. Puts me well off

bakedbeanzontoast · 16/08/2019 16:28

I think it's sad people are taking photos of other people and taking the piss out of them.

The dress - not my cup of tea but each to their own. I can't see the big deal about it myself.

1984isnow · 16/08/2019 16:37

I think it's awful, it's like Scrooge's nightgown.

User10fuckingmillion · 16/08/2019 16:39

I imagine it looks good on those with some height.
It would just drag on the ground if I was wearing it!

ladmum · 16/08/2019 16:49

Ive seen better dresses to be honest, not sure what all the fuss is about?!
