To ask how much you pay in rent each month?

Just out of simple curiosity really, and to see how our rent compares with other parts of the country.

I’ll go first. We pay £700 a month for a privately rented three bedroom flat in East Anglia. That’s actually relatively cheap for a three bed (most go for around £800/£900 here) but that’s probably because the third bedroom is tiny.

£340. 3 bed end terrace, huge garden. Lincolnshire

525 for a semi detached two bedroom house with a garden in the highlands. Hoping to buy after our wedding :)

£1850 for a two bed flat in Zone 2, London. That’s over half of my monthly take home pay.

We've just moved out of a place where we were paying £1600pcm for a 2 bed flat. SE London. We moved back into a property we own which was being rented for £1750pcm in the same area. Both two bathrooms.

£1700 - 1B Central London (m's from Russell Sq)

^flat is small a bit outdated but building is well maintained and it's nice and quiet as we face out onto a small sq.

£900 2 bed council flat in zone 2 London

£900 for a two bed flat with balcony in NW London. In a really pretty and private estate. Been here 10 years and I know it’s a good deal. Could do with modernising however...

£1250 - 4 bed in Bristol

£600 for a three bed semi in Cornwall. It’s cheap for the area because we rent privately from a friend.

We pay £550 for a private rented 3bed semi just outside the lake district.
I know we are quite lucky!

£1050 2 bed flat in Brighton. Tiny kitchen but otherwise ok, in a nice area.

1400 for 2 bed in SE London

Having to move further out just can’t afford it anymore more (on my own with ds)

3 years ago I was paying £2300 for a tiny 3 bed terraced in SW London

600 for a 3 bed in North Yorkshire. It's big bedrooms and a huge garden but very rural and was in very bad repair when we moved in, so the price is quite low. We moved from Cambridge where we paid more than twice that for a two-bed house, and were alternating between amusement and bewilderment when the lettings agency were doubtful we could afford the rent!

£850 for a large detached 3 bed in the Gower (Swansea) - 3 double bedrooms, 3 reception rooms, driveway, garage.

We pay 750 for a room in a house share in se London

950 for 4 bed house. North Essex

£575 for a (tiny) two bed semi in the north west. Decent sized gardens front and back.

Just gone up. £1800 2 bed, London.

£995 for a 1 bed flat in West London... Believe it or not, it's a steal price.

£685pcm for a spacious 3 double bed, 2 reception, 2 bathroom house in a small former market town in the South West. Previous rental was a 1 bed in Surrey that was £720pcm but that was a key worker property and below market rate.

£450 for 1 bedroom in a house share in Bournemouth 😩

£1050, 4 bed detached house in East Anglia, more than we'd want to spend ideally but rental properties are like gold dust so they can charge what they want sadly.
