I know its not in the republic, but the republic will remain in the EU , and its the only country in the eu with a land border therefore you cant have a hard backstop for northern ireland

The backstop is dead it would be madness to bring it back a 4th time. All this angst trying to stop us leaving the EU is destroying the UK. Its to late to turn back, the people and parliament voted to leave so we need to leave the EU in October and start to bring the people of the UK back together

Do you really think that that it will all be over if we leave/remain in October? Think again. The country will remain split with remainers wanting to rejoin if we've left and Brexiteers demanding to leave if we haven't. And many Brexiteers demanding a no deal if we've left with any sort of a deal at all.
