DH left me at home with no snacks

30 weeks pregnant. DD asleep.
DH gone to friends house for drinks. Which is fine but I asked him to get me pudding and a drink from the shop at the end of the road before he left. He left and forgot to get it even though I said it as he was saying bye. AIBU to be majorly pissed off and grumpy.
He's at friends now and won't be back before I'm in bed.
I wanted something nice to drink and some chocolate!! Sad

Op clearly wanted a treat though. Jam on toast whilst sweet isnt a treat at all is it!

Clearly you either get it or you dont.

jessycake · 10/08/2019 17:26

I would be pissed off too , and from now on there needs to be an emergency stash of puddings, drinks and snacks

CoolWivesClub2019 · 10/08/2019 17:33

To late but...in emergencies you need a MUG CAKE op.

4 tbsp SR flour
3 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp hot chocolate
3 tbsp oil
4 tbsp milk

1.5 minutes in the microwave 🙌🏻

81Byerley · 10/08/2019 17:34

Phone a taxi and ask them to deliver chocolate!

BritWifeinUSA · 10/08/2019 17:38

Do you often eat at bedtime? If this a regular occurrence or needed for blood sugar reasons or some other medical situation then you should have been prepared and always have a good supply. If this was just a “ooh a bit of chocolate would be nice right now” then you’ll live. You’re hardly starving. Surely there’s something else in the house you could have? The cupboards aren’t bare? Maybe you could text him and he can bring something back when he comes home.

sunnymorning · 10/08/2019 17:46

I'd have been grumpy and petulant pregnant lady fuming too..... :) joys of hormones xxx

bigchris · 10/08/2019 18:04

Did dh come home with a bag of stuff for tonight ?

bigchris · 10/08/2019 18:05

@BritWifeinUSA

You get the award for missing the point of the thread Grin

MissPollyHadADolly19 · 10/08/2019 18:07

What the fucking fuck is with some of the replies on this post?! Confused
Yanbu.
But from the PPs you should of left your DD to get your pregnant backside to the shop, also get tested for abnormal health problems requiring you to eat at that ungodly hour (hello pregnancy?) and never request anything from your DH, ever because you're a grown woman Hmm

Also just to add to the mug cake suggestion, a banana and some custard can be quite nice as an emergency sweet treat. Oh and your DH needs some training in the dealing with a pregnant wife department!

Letstalkabout6 · 10/08/2019 18:28

Order a pizza and a pudding think they all do them.

MilkTrayLimeBarrel · 10/08/2019 18:44

Assuming you ate a nourishing, tasty dinner, I cannot understand why you would want to be 'snacking' later in the evening. Most peculiar!

Nearly47 · 10/08/2019 18:47

YANBU. Everyone knows it's partners duty to keep cupboard stocked of treats for pregnant or premenstrual womenGrin

Nearly47 · 10/08/2019 18:48

Should be in wedding vows

Meangirls36 · 10/08/2019 18:49

What's ocado zoom is it any good???

TFSRM · 10/08/2019 18:51

YANBU, he has failed in his duties. He must make it up to you tomorrow.

minesapinkgin · 10/08/2019 18:53

Yanbu! I'd have been livid

Imbananas · 10/08/2019 18:55

YANBU ... def not...he goes out to have fun while you have to stay indoors and watch your DD and you are pregnant as well.
But he’s a man and you can’t ask much ... from my own experience. They are too self centred when they get excited about something. 🤷🏻‍♀️

iklboo · 10/08/2019 18:59

Because she's pregnant and it can make you hungry at odd times.

Lou12124 · 10/08/2019 19:04

I don't think you are being unreasonable at all! Pregnancy hormones do weird s* to your body and mind. There were stages at 2am where I could've murdered someone for a boost bar! Unfortunately those saying OP is being a child...you cant always plan what your going to want later on in the day!
I'd just made sure DH gets you double of what you wanted and makes you breakfast in the morning! With a hangover would be even better 😂

poppy54321 · 10/08/2019 19:06

I can’t think of a scenario where wanting chocolate is unreasonable. Equally there is no scenario where something else will replace said chocolate. And furthermore if there isn’t any, well that’s always annoying surely.

poppy54321 · 10/08/2019 19:11

Yep I’d be pretty irritated and probably eating chocolate powder whilst mumbling about never trusting him with important things EVER AGAIN.

mummyDA · 10/08/2019 19:14

YANBU at all. Your at home looking after your DD and pregnant so you cannot leave the house. He has gone out to enjoy himself.

Gosh MN has such low expectations of how women should be treated in relationships. Asking for a snack from your partner isn’t too much!

picklemepopcorn · 10/08/2019 19:17

I very much hope that today you took the opportunity to stockpile snacks so this never happens again! Disaster!

EmbarrassingMama · 10/08/2019 19:19

Chocolate mug cake?

AccioUsername · 10/08/2019 19:25

When I was pregnant I cried because my then OH wouldn't drive me. YANBU at all.
Pregnancy fucks you up, and if you're stuck in the house while you OH is out you DEFINITELY ANBU.
