DH left me at home with no snacks

30 weeks pregnant. DD asleep.
DH gone to friends house for drinks. Which is fine but I asked him to get me pudding and a drink from the shop at the end of the road before he left. He left and forgot to get it even though I said it as he was saying bye. AIBU to be majorly pissed off and grumpy.
He's at friends now and won't be back before I'm in bed.
I wanted something nice to drink and some chocolate!! Sad

NoSauce · 09/08/2019 23:00

OP has milkshake on the way folks.

Jasharps · 09/08/2019 23:01

Go yourself
Uber Eats
Deliveroo
Amazon Prime Now
Just Eat
Call local random.takeout (old school)

shinynewapple · 09/08/2019 23:03

Wow can't believe how serious and unpleasant some people are.

Of corse he was unreasonable OP. Leaving a pregnant woman with no chocolate?? Have you got any thing nice in your freezer? Ice cream? Cheese cake?

MissGiddyPants · 09/08/2019 23:07

How far is the shop?

Asking for a friend.

ILearnedItFromABook · 09/08/2019 23:12

That milkshake sounds delicious. (I'm jealous. Wink Well, never mind. Will make do with the ice cream in the fridge!)

stucknoue · 09/08/2019 23:12

We can get literally anything (legal) delivered via a local rival to Deliveroo, it's brilliant, apparently their number one request is nappies. My favourite go to for evening treats is doorstep desserts, yum!

clpsmum · 09/08/2019 23:16

LTB!

Allli · 09/08/2019 23:17

You’re carrying a baby 24/7. Least he can do is make sure you are stocked up with food before he trots off for a fun evening with the lads. Remind him when he gets back and tell him the next time he does that his dinner will be in the dog.
Or just order s Chinese takeaway delivery for one tomorrow and see how he likes to be forgotten about!

Inertia · 09/08/2019 23:18

I'd be annoyed if my husband buggered off unplanned, expecting me to do the childcare for a sleeping child after I'd been working all day and then sorted bedtime, and then refused to get me a snack from the shop.Yes, you could have gone and got your own treats from the shop if you hadn't been doing all the parenting for a child too young to be left alone!

YANBU.

Hope you enjoy the milkshake!

Clusterphuck why would you say that?

LatteLove · 09/08/2019 23:29

@clusterphuck is that really necessary?

Crunchymum · 09/08/2019 23:32

@stucknoue

Who is this rival?

Hithere12 · 09/08/2019 23:32

If your hungry just eat something savoury. You don’t need a “pudding” full of sugar and other crap.

headlock · 09/08/2019 23:47

@Hithere12 you're missing the point of pregnancy cravings.
Hope you got something OP. That would've annoyed me too!

LittleAndOften · 10/08/2019 00:03

YANBU OP, I'm pregnant too with a toddler and totally get it. Your DH has let you down and it is unacceptable.

I am sensing a gap in the market here. We, the pregnant, are in severe need of snack delivery services. I'm thinking a variety of cakes, chocolate, sweets, pringles, doritos, dips, gu puddings, mini trifles.. .. What have I missed?

PickAChew · 10/08/2019 00:09

He deserves harsh punishment but there's always toast

Smilebehappy123 · 10/08/2019 00:16

Divorce the bastard immediately

DogHasEatenTheSqueaker · 10/08/2019 00:17

Not pregnant, live smack bang next door to a Tesco, and only reliant child is 14 and always in bed, and yes, I'd still have arse to be left snackless.

Am a greedy cow though.

ThirdThoughts · 10/08/2019 00:19

Thank goodness you found your milkshake delivery, else you would have had to passive aggressively send him links to research about the benefits of chocolate during pregnancy all evening! 😉

seastargirl · 10/08/2019 06:53

I need to know if the milkshake arrived and how it was!

I'd have been sobbing if I'd been promised snacks and they'd not turned up. My husband used to hide extra portions of it craving so that he has supplies if I ran out!

GPatz · 10/08/2019 07:00

So many uptight people on this thread who probably don't do nice things for people. Chill.

Socksontheradiator · 10/08/2019 07:09

I hope the milkshake was delicious!
