Would you find it awkward - bride singing to groom at wedding

I'm not sure whether to do this at my upcoming wedding or not.

Not in any way a stealth brag but I think relevant... I can sing (well I think!) and did vocal studies at university.

The problem is I have quite bad anxiety and get nervous over what people think! I never had the confidence to take it anywhere.

Be honest, what would think to this?

I’d have disgraced myself if I’d been there. I’m not very nice...

I’d need a large gin to watch it and just hope nobody thinking the exact same catches my eye as you’re half way through I will always love you.

My friend sang at her wedding but it was with the band and a upbeat non love related song so it was lovely

If you AND your husband (or your bridesmaids) sung something together and it was fun and aimed at the guests then it wouldn't be my style, but would be fun.

Bride singing to groom would bring on a Fawlty Towers level cringe. But like others say, you're day, your way!

I'd be cringing quietly to myself, but more as my social awkwardness would never allow me to do such things. However it is your and your husband to bes day so if you want to sing you should go for it!

But depending on how formal the night do is you could do a song there to get everyone to dance to not just watch you perform.

Fucking hell, there's some miserable mundanes on this thread. If you like singing and your H2B likes singing, why on earth wouldn't you?

OP I don’t get some of the responses you are getting. Assuming your wedding party is full of people who actually know and like you, if I was there I’d love to hear you singing!! Seems to me there are some pretty harsh people on here. Go for it!!!

The OP asked for opinions. We gave ours as requested. People aren't miserable just because they don't agree with you.

If you can sing and you want to then go for it! What would your dh think? If he's heard you sing loads and you don't think it would embarrass him then I wouldn't worry about anyone else.
