I'm thinking I'm pregnant?! Going insane

Some one talk me down. I'm shaking. I can't stop crying.

We tried for years to have ds who's now nearly 6. Having been trying since to have a much wanted other. Had a few miscarriages early in so I really shouldn't be getting excited.

We were told by doctors we wouldn't have another.

One of my best friends died last week and in my grief fog I had sex with dh as I knew I was ovulating (after ten years of trying to conceive you're pretty damn sure when it's happening). I knew I'd get pregnant. I've never been so sure.

Oh OP - I can tell how excited you are.

Yes, LH strips can detect HCG but for them to be reliable you generally need a strong positive result when your period is due.

My second pregnancy was detected via LH strips but you can see how strong the second line is and this was the day before my period was due.

Please don’t build your hopes up just yet but I sincerely hope you get the result you want.

I do believe that when you've been trying for a long time, you know deed inside when you're pregnant. Definitely hope that's the case for you OP.

@gwenneh sorry I ovulated on the 19th. So 13 dpo today and af due tomorrow. I just threw up. I feel hideous. I just want to go back to bed.

I think it’s just confusing because you said last week you had sex with your DH when you were ovulating, but the 19th of July is about two weeks ago.

I think the confusion around the dates is making harder for us to give opinions if that makes sense?

I took your “last week I had sex with DH when I was ovulating” as a vague date though as opposed to something specific.

I've got my fingers crossed for you but if you are 13dpo and seem to be having symptoms then I would expect that ovulation test to be really dark, not as faint as it is. The only time I've seen LH tests that indicted pregnancy were when the tet were strongly positive at this point. Please don't get too excited x

@QueenofmyPrinces yes sorry, when I first posted I thought they were actually pregnancy tests so was losing my mind a bit.

Have obviously calmed down a wee bit now.

Sister in law has one test left but it's one of the cheap ones you buy in bulk so may not be so reliable the day before my period. Sent dh off to get it as I've thrown up again and feel horrific.

" This was out of my own personal collection. I had 13 days of straight, blazing positive results so I tested with both a OPK and HPT to rule out that possibility. So this was the result of the pregnancy test. I'll still get dh to get a 'proper' one today but it's taken the wind out of my sails!

Still throwing up though. Ffs.

Sounds like you’ve got a stomach bug whether you’re pregnant or not! You wouldn’t be throwing up this early in pregnancy normally (I started to feel bad from week 5 onwards).

I can’t see your latest result but those ovulation tests are negative so show neither positive for ovulation or pregnancy. I’m sorry you’ve had such a terrible time recently.

Your latest result isn’t showing for some reason but I’m sorry OP if this doesn’t end the way you want it to.

As another poster said, sickness generally starts about 6-8 weeks into pregnancy so you may just have a stomach bug.

I’m still clinging onto hope for you though
