To want to know the outcome of some threads

I've read alot of threads, some funny and alot very sad.
I love it when a thread has an update, especially if it's a positive update; however there are lots of threads that don't have an ending and I'd love to know what the outcome was.
One of mine is the softzilla, I do wonder what's happened with that up to now?
Anyone else need updates?!!!

I started to read one the other day from someone who had just discovered that her husband had had a one night stand with a new colleague who was now pregnant. I don't k ow why but I got a bit over invested in it emotionally. I felt so sorry for her. It seems to have disappeared now but I would love to know the update. Also the woman who claimed to be a prisoner in Thailand ( poss not true) but was interesting.

Yes! There was a spare of holiday and/or money ones a few months back and none of them were resolved... borrowing money and not paying it back or going on holiday and acting like a totally different (read hideous) person. Would love to know what happened next on all those threads!

Then there are very very old ones like the lady on jersey (or guernsey or maybe even somewhere else that was an island whose husband was awful, they had young kids and she was trying desperately to get things together without him.

Or the one whose kids had the most amazingly grand names (loved them all) but all seemed to be incredibly demanding or difficult. The husband was equally difficult and do stupid things able cars and houses and general stuff that seemed chaotic. She was the calm in the eye of the storm but I often wonder if life has got any easier.

Oh, and the woman whose husband was the musics teacher and she was convinced he was having an affair or something with the mother of his pupil.

@tensmum1964 I read that one too, I really felt for her too, and hope she's okay.

The one with the woman who had sold her house to someone from outside the village and then had a range of things happen - Christmas decs tied to a tree, prowlers, cars pulling up at night. I was scared shitless.
I think she disappeared from the thread as she realised she may need to declare it to the new buyer.

Also the post about the woman who's neighbours had put a door into their wall that led into the OP's garden, never did find out what happened.

I posted an AIBU about this a few.months ago. I think it is only common courtesy for OPs to update as people are asked for advice, they kindly try to help then are just left hanging. I think I put words to the effect that it is like reading a book only to find that the last chapter is missing. I pretty much got flamed.

I hate it when there's no update - people have given advice and support and invested time.

I thought the house with the wall knocked down was true but went silent (same as softzilla) as it had police / legal involvement

I agree about updating especially after all the advice given. The reason I made this thread is exactly for that reason, I posted an update about my last thread with a positive outcome and a big thank you to everyone who helped me.

One of my favourite threads (with an update) was the CF's who expected the OP to watch her kids over the 6 weeks holidays and resulted in their kid vomiting on the CF shoes

Many many threads like this on here are inane fictional bullshit yet slathering idiots persist in believing and encouraging the author to further excesses of imagination.

I want to know what happened with the woman who hid from the gas man, did he come back, did he declare love or had he just left a spanner and wanted it back!

@SpottedGingham I've seen others say both of those were fantasies, but don't think that's ever actually been 'proven'.
