To hate thunder and lightning

We have it quite bad here, I hate it and can't sleep!

It doesn’t frighten me but I can understand why it could.
I love snuggling up in bed when there’s a storm. Listening while you’re safe and cosy

@Greeborising it's not that I'm frightened of it as such it's just loud and bright! I feel quite safe. But it's very close to us here, never seen it this close before!

Oh and I can't snuggle in this heat!

It was amazing!! Only a bit of rain & so much lightening- the thunder was ridiculous!

It could do with a downpour too if I was being fussy, but it’s an almost totally clear sky now here in S.Herefordshire.

Spoke too soon - just double checked and can’t see any stars now but there’s still quite a lot of lightening.

Wiltshire here and the thunder has been loud, it made me jump.
I dont normally mind it but it's been really bad tonight.

I wanted it and now it’s here I’m scared from the looks of lightning maps it’s not going away for a while!

It's just woken me up. It's very loud here (Midlands)! Suspect I'll struggle to get back off to sleep until the weather settles down a bit.

It is God's wrath on the election of Boris Johnson as Prime Minister.

I am not being facetious but I remember very well, perhaps others do too, being woken by very severe thunder and lightning at about 4am on the morning of 23 June 2016, the dreaded referendum day. As I listened to the terrible thunder that morning, I felt that God was warning the country that it was so wrong to be having the referendum. Whatever anyone thinks of Brexit, they will agree that since that day the country has been so divided, which should never have happened.

It is more than a coincidence that there is thunder yet again on the morning of the day when Boris will become PM.

I hate it too OP, am cowering under my duvet, boiling hot and hoping the kids don't wake up.

I love a thunderstorm! But my dog is terrified them, so on balance I'd rather not. Anything to break this ridiculous heat though!
