Or are they an absolutely shattered, hot, sweaty, irritable grumpy mess like mine is?

Anyone who's baby is asleep....congratulations

Mine is a Hot sweaty grumpy mess here

MRex · 23/07/2019 20:52

Try putting cool water on neck, ankles and wrists. Leave dripping. Helps my DS every time.

Toddler, but anyway he's been asleep since 8, just stirred for boob as it's ridiculously hot but back to sleep already. I put him to bed late because it was too hot to try earlier.

EmilyDeservedBetter · 23/07/2019 20:53

She’s got no issue falling asleep but then wakes herself up. I feel so sorry for them in this heat - I’m struggling and I understand and can cool myself down.

We’ve got two fans in the bedroom, windows open and blinds closed and it’s still 28 degrees.

IVEgottheDECAF · 23/07/2019 20:54

2 year old dc4 is asleep

Only another 3 dc to go!

earlybirdhasanap · 23/07/2019 20:54

Hot, sweaty, grumpy mess. He takes after his mother.

Merryoldgoat · 23/07/2019 20:54

Not even nearly.

Crunchymum · 23/07/2019 20:55

18mo is in her cot but not happy.

4yo is a mess and 6yo is reading under the fan.

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 23/07/2019 20:55

Yup asleep, but we live up north in an old house so it's not that warm, DS bedroom was 23 earlier, manageable. But he'll be up at 5am so hope yours all sleep past that!

Knockthreetimes · 23/07/2019 20:55

My 14 month old is asleep but did take ages and expecting a few wake ups tonight. Groegg says his room is 28 degrees...

Malyshek · 23/07/2019 20:55

My son has been asleep since 20h.

But to be fair it's not that hot here.

That said my son slept well even when températures spiked to nearly 40 degrees. Guess I'm lucky :)

SinkGirl · 23/07/2019 20:55

I’d really recommend getting some cooling towels - you just put them in cold water, wring them out and they stay cool for ages. Really helping with my toddlers just to cool them down a bit.

Red44 · 23/07/2019 20:56

Invested in an air con unit, best thing ever! 8months fast asleep since 18.45, in pjs and blanket as room is 20 degrees, her staying asleep all night is another matter all together.

Amys136 · 23/07/2019 20:56

13 week old asleep but I’m guessing it won’t be for long as we are currently in the middle of sleep regression

Brainfogmcfogface · 23/07/2019 20:56

Mines just fallen asleep, the weather doesn’t seem to have affected her or my 4yo, I’m the hot shattered grumpy mess in this house tonight 😓

Kidworries · 23/07/2019 20:56

11 week old asleep. 2 year old asleep. 4 year old and 6 year old in bed trying to sleep. Very hot though

mommybear1 · 23/07/2019 20:56

21 month old and still up 🙄 I think he'll go when we do it's sooooooo hot here. He's not a good sleeper at the best of times and in this heat we have no chance 😔

IShitGlitter · 23/07/2019 20:58

yep both asleep ds4 and dd2 by 7pm tonight there were shatterd.

MissSmith80 · 23/07/2019 20:58

12 week old has been asleep for an hour but has just released one arm from his muslin swaddle so I'm expecting him to wake soon 😬

foreverhanging · 23/07/2019 20:58

My toddler is awake. She also has tonsillitis. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckkkkkk.

Where do I resign please?

Nixen · 23/07/2019 20:59

10 month old has been asleep since 8.30, but it was a battle 😰

Ginnymweasley · 23/07/2019 20:59

1 year old not asleep. He is a bad sleeper at the best of time so I'm not holding out much hope.

Passthecherrycoke · 23/07/2019 20:59

My newborn has been constantly breastfeeding since 5.30pm

My 4 yo still isn’t asleep

They are both in my bed making me even hotter

AnastasiaVonBeaverhausen · 23/07/2019 21:00

Does it count if my baby is 3? Hmm

She's asleep. She has waist length hair and went to bed with wet hair from the bath. Always seems to work in hot weather.
A good tip I was given is if you have space in the freezer, put their pillow in a carrier bag in the freezer for an hour or so before bed. Sounds ridiculous but it makes it lovely and cold. Poss not combined with wet hair tho!

Pinktinker · 23/07/2019 21:00

8 month old is a hot sweaty mess, we all are.

Scubalubs87 · 23/07/2019 21:02

I lost a good hour of my life getting my 10 month old to sleep earlier. Kept standing up and manically laughing at me. Usually, he’s pretty easy to put to bed. It’s very very warm and sticky here - we’re in the SE
