Doesn't matter. I don't think I will sully myself looking at a Priti Patel thread.

Notonthestairs · 25/07/2019 08:46

You are missing out. For a select few there is a lot of positivity about her appointment...Grin

busyhonestchildcarer · 25/07/2019 09:18

I feel so sorry for all of those sensible compassionate people who wish for a fair society, and end to poverty, homelessness, the cuts on all our services.I hope voters in the UK take off their rose coloured glasses and understand that this government are for the rich.Stop voting them in!!

busyhonestchildcarer · 25/07/2019 09:20

I prediced this when Trump was appointed but people thought I was being ridiculous😏

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 25/07/2019 09:31

@busyhonestchildcarer No one thinks you're ridiculous now

bellinisurge · 25/07/2019 09:36

"There felt to be a genuine feeling of change and hope yesterday. Everyone felt it, even the most ardent remainers felt the tides changing.
Have confidence in the country, move with the times. Living your life in a bitter angst riddled state is not healthy, allow yourself a moment of joy that we still live in a democracy, all will be well. You don’t have to live here if you don’t believe in the country, the world is a big place."
Bullshit does have a particular smell all its own, doesn't it?

Sandybval · 25/07/2019 09:38

There is a member of the cabinet who is from a working class family and went to a comprehensive school at least I suppose. Shame her views are archaic and she views Thatcher as an inspiration.

TuesdaySunshine · 25/07/2019 09:40

There felt to be a genuine feeling of change and hope yesterday. Everyone felt it, even the most ardent remainers felt the tides changing.

What crap. If you feel this then more fool you, but don't try and tar us all with the same brush. I'm confidently anticipating more of the same, and worse.

Theworldisfullofgs · 25/07/2019 09:41

All I felt was despair.

0.13% was all it took.

PortiaCastis · 25/07/2019 09:48

Nope, a feeling of bewilderment and anger was felt in this house and I've got a 20 year old fearful for her future

Moomin12345 · 25/07/2019 09:48

I think this is going to be hilarious, especially the Brexit thing. Grin

Noextremes2017 · 25/07/2019 09:51

Hello,

Following our departure from the EU I predict a massive export boom. We will be exporting our cars and other 'things' (whatever else we make - I don't have the detail) all around the world and especially to the USA.

We'll be attracting high quality immigrants (not refugees) from all over the world to work in our booming economy and we'll all enjoy the benefits of higher productivity, higher wages and more leisure time.

There will be zero crime following the massive police recruitment I am planning (no more GreenPeace protestors along the Mall!). Our police will be able to go round in threes rather than twos.

I expect doctor appointments within the hour and hospital admissions within 24 hours even for non urgent cases. In the event of a Doctor shortage we'll be using RoBo doctors developed by out world leading robotics industries.

Homelessness has been abolished (well at least in my street).

And I don't think there is a social care problem anymore. (I've checked my investments and pensions and don't see any issues - unless of course there is a Financial Crash caused by those turds - sorry friends - in the EU).

Our infrastucture will be the envy of the world with my new airport in the Thames estuary taking over from Schipol / Frankfurt / Paris and most other European hubs.

...... Jacob / Steve / Dominic - what else am I supposed to write. What do you think - am I being up beat enough?? Can you finish this off for me - I'm bored .....

Love

Boris

160,000 of the most out of touch people in the UK have just elected the most out of touch PM.

Mostly elderly Tory ladies in the Shires who think the shambling idiot is cute. Hope you enjoyed the orgasm ladies, it might be the last pleasant thing that happens in the UK for quite some time.

Cinammoncake · 25/07/2019 09:55

I think this is going to be hilarious, especially the Brexit thing

It's an interesting take. Enjoy your lolz

Cinammoncake · 25/07/2019 09:56

There felt to be a genuine feeling of change and hope yesterday. Everyone felt it, even the most ardent remainers felt the tides changing.

The bullshit levels rose a lot and the government just got worse. So that might be called a tide of change. Change for the even worse.

GimmieTheCoffeeAndNooneDies · 25/07/2019 10:12

Noextremes don't forget social care - your elderly parents will be cared for in facilities that resemble the Ritz, they will be hand feed grapes by their own personal (British) servant, qualified to at least level 5 in care for the elderly, and all at no charge, so, when they die a peaceful and dignified desth. they can pass on their savings and property to you, the deserving children.

Unless they are on benefits, then fuck the!m.

Noextremes2017 · 25/07/2019 10:43

Unfortunately the UK has now entered the realms of fantasy politics built totally on personalities and soundbites with absolutely no substance, no credibility, no honesty and no morals beneath the surface.

Yes it is happening worldwide - but we didn't have to follow it.

ralfeesmum · 25/07/2019 10:44

So that's any hope of gender equality straight down the toilet......back to the 1950's eh?

Alsohuman · 25/07/2019 10:45

Gender equality will be the least of our worries very soon.

2eternities · 25/07/2019 10:52

Lol gimme - that psychopath who raped and murdered 13 year old lucy Mchugh was a carer, and he had previous for violence, hostage taking and pulling knives on people. These are the sorts of people to be looking after ones elderly relatives now and in the future, oh well the plebs get what they vote for.

As a working class mother on benefits I'd be a prime candidate for this sort of work but tbh with the woefully inadequate level of pay for such back breaking hard work I'd prefer to return to having sex for money which I used to do before, at least the pay is great and you can work two hours a day and have over £200 for that day of work. Would take all week to earn that caring for £8 an hour. Setting my adultwork profile back up would be much more profitable even when I'm in my 40s and 50s nevermind 20s and 30s!

iwantadishwasher · 25/07/2019 10:52

All the working class leavers currently creaming their jeans over Johnson are in for a shock.

iwantadishwasher · 25/07/2019 10:57

What a bunch Envy (not envy):

So Boris Johnson is the new PM.
2eternities · 25/07/2019 11:23

Those working class people are misguided, Im not a leaver but from my perspective as a currently jobless ex escort, less European migrants coming to work as prostitutes legally (and they do because they can, I've worked with many eastern Europeans up to their 40s here off their own back to work as escorts) is better for the large amount of mostly working class women and single mothers who have had prices knocked down since the influx of eastern Europeans who do more for less because many take the money home where it's worth much more. I haven't much time to post now but issues like this is why the working class want less immigration.

Same for manual jobs ie ones us working class get landed with, the sheer amount of foreigners willing to work for a pittance is decimating our earnings obviously the middle and upper classes couldn't care less because they benefit from paying piss poor wages. The mostly middle class clients I had as an escort will love lower rates since it benefits them, it doesn't benefit English girls who now have to offer more sexual services to compete for less money.

BishopBrennansArse · 25/07/2019 11:26

Drain the swamp? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Our new 'cabinet' are shitting in it!

tomtom1999xx · 25/07/2019 11:26

He’s filled his cabinet with brexiteers which is exactly what leavers want, so yes, I’d imagine they’re very happy.
