If Trump can be elected POTUS then anything is possible. I’m not remotely surprised.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 23/07/2019 12:20

Poor Larry.

I'm sure there was a rumour about my Mum's side having Irish heritage.

kateandme · 23/07/2019 12:21

we are all fucked.i actually want to cry a little but am too numb with shock and fear for the future that i cant !!!
and this also means brexit will be a bigger shit hepa than it ever was.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 23/07/2019 12:21

@Juells funnily enough 'we're doomed' is just the phrase that sprung to mind here too.

God help us...

Fibbke · 23/07/2019 12:22

It is truly bizarre how this idea that Boris Johnson and Trump are comparable has gained traction. I honestly believe it is because they both have mad blonde hair.

lolaflores · 23/07/2019 12:23

Will he enter parliament on a zip wire with union Jack underpants on his head or will he save that for diplomatic talks to calm the situation in the gulf?

daisyboocantoo · 23/07/2019 12:24

I said three years ago that this was what would happen. My Facebook memories reminded me recently.

I'm off for a really really long nap. Hopefully when I wake up, he will have gone away

PortiaCastis · 23/07/2019 12:24

Be interesting to see who resigns though

LadyBumclock · 23/07/2019 12:24

Ugh.

chaosmaker · 23/07/2019 12:24

Let's hope he's pathetic as usual and revokes article 50 :) it's our only hope

thecatsthecats · 23/07/2019 12:25

You could never have predicted 3 years ago that he'd be PM. He was a national disgrace.

Actually, I was watching a repeat episode of Pointless, of all things, that said just that.

BMW6 · 23/07/2019 12:25

I wonder what the Queen will make of him Grin

lolaflores · 23/07/2019 12:25

Actually, I'm off to bed. Giving g myself a mental health day. Or. I'll go and play the ukulele with the kids upstairs. Its ck structure and stops me stress eating.

MadamePompadour · 23/07/2019 12:26

Says a lot about Tory members that 92,000 of them think he will make a good PM.

VladmirsPoutine · 23/07/2019 12:26

We are fucked. An international joke too.

Noextremes2017 · 23/07/2019 12:26

160,000 of the most out of touch people in the UK have just elected the most out of touch PM.

An idiot who said "f* business" with regard to UK withdrawal from the EU. Does he not realise that business creates jobs on which the wealth and prosperity of the country depend?

Of course not - because he has always been spoon fed by rich Daddy including his public school education. And now he gives speeches and writes articles for obscene amounts of money. (Never quite understood how anyone is stupid enough to pay him?)

Are we all f? Probably.

lolaflores · 23/07/2019 12:26

Can the queen step in? Hasn't she got a veto or a magic stick to make him melt? Am I in a nightmare

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 23/07/2019 12:27

He could actually win a GE against Corbyn

Unfortunately a stuffed gorilla could win a GE against Corbyn.

Where are the sensible people? What's happened to our political class? We need clever, competent people of principle and there don't seem to be very many in politics these days.

Hmmmwhatwouldyoudo · 23/07/2019 12:27

I’m actually embarrassed he’s our PM.

DoneLikeAKipper · 23/07/2019 12:28

@conkeee, how could you possibly vote for such an imbecile to be PM? The man shouldn’t be around other humans, never mind in charge of them.

Basecamp65 · 23/07/2019 12:28

Just wish that 10 years ago I had put a tenner on Trump being president and Boris PM - I would be a millionaire and able to escape the sinking ship - but I would never have got odds - it was too ridiculous to suggest.

Noextremes2017 · 23/07/2019 12:28

Fibbke - no it is because they are both idiots.

serenoa · 23/07/2019 12:28

Apparently it's the outgoing prime minister's constitutional duty (insofar as we have a constitution at all) to recommend to the Queen a person who she believes has the confidence of the HoC and can form a government.

Confidence in Johnson? Where do you want to start? How about Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe?

The Fixed Term Parliament Act mandates that if an incoming prime minister cannot form a government and get the approval of the House within two weeks, then we have a general election.

Beestripey · 23/07/2019 12:28

Its awful. I hope this is rock bottom TheRedBarrows, but I think that if you are in a vulnerable position, ill/ disabled, single mother etc, things can still get worse. I'm actually quite frightened.

I'm worried about how much they will let him do before they use him as a scapegoat and kick him out. but then won't reverse the changes he made :(

The other parties are a disaster too :(

Fibbke · 23/07/2019 12:29

Fibbke - no it is because they are both idiots yes I agree but surely shit loads of our politicians are idiots :-D
