Ponders...

Just how DOES David Cameron sleep at night?

AlienImposter · 23/07/2019 12:43

because we voted to leave the EU thats why

missbattenburg · 23/07/2019 12:44

So, Boris supports a £20bn bridge between Scotland and NI. That's £666 per taxpayer. Funny number.

It's so hot outside I am beginning to suspect I have died and this is hell.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 23/07/2019 12:44

What did anyone expect? Him or Hunt, same outcome! Pock any politician, any party ... same bloody outcome!

With parliament refusing to back the referendum results regardless of each constituency vote; with half the country set implacably against the other half; our democracy is crumbling around us, our political reality is utterly fucked whatever happens next and STILL people are arguing over the fucking minutiae, he saids, she saids, it wasn't fucking binding, best of 537 please!!

GET A GRIP! FFS!

We need to be out.... or we need to be in... I have a preference, and it makes no sense to c50% of the population - the same as everybody else posting here. None of us have the right of it, none of us have the slightest real idea what will happen over the long term, in or out. All we do know is that we, as a country, have shown ourselves to be incapable of making our elected representatives do what the majority of the legally voting populace is (no matter how slim).

FUCKING RIDICULOUS!

  • rant over, for a moment or two!

🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

MaMaMaMySharona · 23/07/2019 12:44

because we voted to leave the EU thats why

I think everyone is grossly aware of this fact, but the truth is there is no rush to do it, if doing it in a hurry (or leaving without a deal) is detrimental to the country and those people that live there!

M0RVEN · 23/07/2019 12:44

Which, if anyone is interested, equals about 0.14% of the current UK population

Where are all the Brexiteers bleating on about democracy now?

Justanotherlurker · 23/07/2019 12:45

No party can form a majority. A coalition between labour and the Lib Dems is formed.

Lib Dems already came out and said they wont form a Gov with Labour.

chipsandgin · 23/07/2019 12:45

Laughed at OP - sadly because because it’s so true. So utterly, utterly fucked 😩

Fibbke · 23/07/2019 12:45

samphire I agree, it is mind numbing

Nonnymum · 23/07/2019 12:45

Our very own Donald Trump.
I just hope he becomes the shortest lived PM ever

TanMateix · 23/07/2019 12:45

I really don’t know why people keep going with better than Corbyn remarks. Corbyn is our already, if there is a GE Farage is the one more likely to be the real contender.

I am dismayed at the fact that we have now placed our own Trump in power. May we hope we don’t ruin things for the country and the world in the same way the Americans did by choosing Trump.

TanMateix · 23/07/2019 12:46

Corbyn is OUT already not “our”

SouthChinaSea234 · 23/07/2019 12:46

In what other context would you turn down a group of people with relevant experience, decent track records and a sensible approach to a complex problem in favour of a candidate with a track record of messing up and whose only plan for out current dilemma is a suicidal leap off a cliff?

Cinammoncake · 23/07/2019 12:46

We need to leave with no deal if that is what it takes

We really don't need to

HellYeah90s · 23/07/2019 12:46

Quelle surprise Trump has just tweeted his congratulations Hmm

I wouldn’t rule out a snap election to secure a majority before he fucks up anything. I suspect he was chosen to win a majority not because the whole Tory party adore him (they don’t).

Fibbke · 23/07/2019 12:47

HE IS NOT OUR OWN DONALD TRUMP

Jesus I;m not a boris fan but that is just so fucking lazy

They have absolutely NOTHING in common apart from what they look like

Are people that thick?!

DennisSkinnersMolotov · 23/07/2019 12:48

"And in 2019 we basically watched the world burn"

user1471519931 · 23/07/2019 12:48

Bye bye Scotland

VivienneHolt · 23/07/2019 12:48

Lib Dems already came out and said they wont form a Gov with Labour.

Because Swinson thinks Corbyn is pro-brexit. If a second ref was on the table I think she might reconsider. I don’t put much store by Lib Dem promises since they’ve shown time and time again they don’t stand by them.

Not that they are unique in that respect...

historysock · 23/07/2019 12:49

Dude, this is a very sorry state of affairs...

I am so angry today that this whole Brexit shit show has come to this. Fucks sake.

ChangedPerson · 23/07/2019 12:49

Pleased that Boris got it. Hopefully he can finally get us out of the EU.

(He really needs to work on his clapping technique though after seeing him on the news.)

ItsAlrightAlright · 23/07/2019 12:49

Where are all the Conservatives on Mumsnet?

Where are all the people who voted Leave?

Statistically there are more Conservatives than Labourites and more Leavers than Remainers.

Isn't it quite damning that they all feel they can't get a word in edgeways on here?
