Seeing so many threads about properties and the difference in prices reported I get why it can be so difficult for people to imagine the differences between areas.

Would IBU to be curious and ask you to hop on primelocation and see what are the cheapest and the most expensive properties within 5 miles of your home? Ignore shared ownership, retirement only and investment student studios. Obviously you don't have to post links, just say the area so you can keep anonymous.

I will start.
NW big city
The cheapest:
2 bed flat 35k. Fully livable! Just needs decorating. 15 min to city centre.
The most expensive: 😮
8 bed, oh so amazing, grade 2 listed £1,995,000. 25 min to city centre.

West Sussex
£5.5 million 11 bed 7 reception grade ll Georgian Manor House on 52 acres.
£75k studio 16 x 10 ft with small separate kitchen and bathroom sold as an investment property with tenants in situ.
Or £77 k studio no separate kitchen and no tenants but in the same vicinity of the tenanted one.

Most expensive (excluding POA) £25 million for a 4 bed house- that’s pretty pricey per - in f at this thread would be even more interesting if it was done on a price/square foot basis.

The most expensive:
7 bed detached period house - £6,250,000

Yep, we live in an expensive area!!! We were lucky timing-wise to buy our 3 bed semi (£160,000 to buy, now worth £320,000 10 years on)

Ah no, That cheaper one was shared ownership. Cheapest excluding shared ownership is this £104k for a 2 bed flat

1 bed flat leasehold £110,000 on a new build development of old, maybe 1980's. Just by the railway station that goes direct to London.
Looks tiny but ok, needs basic updating, communal garden and parking ( doesn't say has its own space just says communal parking available)

Most expensive
11 Million
5 bed very old house on an estate with oast house offices and outbuildings, plus 2 flats and 6 staff houses on the site. Hundreds of acres, so a big garden ! It's basically a farm business too.

After that for just a lovely house 7 bed, it's just 4.95 million. No farm or flats included.

On I'm not quite in Surrey just outside in SE

Cheapest is a £95,000 studio flat.

I'm in Merseyside. Cheapest is 2 bed terrace needing complete refurb for 25k, most expensive is 1.9 million for a 9 bed detached house.

SW medium sized town.

Most expensive £2,250,000 for a detached Georgian 5 bed with 3 acres and stables.

Cheapest £65,000 for a tiny one bed house.

The £22 million mansion is on Titlarks Hill (snigger)

Highest is offers over £6 million ( but I don't really like it ) 9 bedrooms, pool, gym...and the utility room looks bigger than our ground floor!

Lowest is £34k 1bed flat in decent condition
