(Video is Lynsey on This Morning telling us we should make sure our bras are clipped together and separate them from towels before we wash) I wanna know how she has the time.

Here’s me with the false impression that my clothes are actually getting washed clean in my washing machine.

Headlesshorseman · 16/07/2019 22:57

Hang on a minute... Does this mean I shouldn't have put the tea towels in the nappy wash no motivation to sort laundry when your washing for 6 HmmGrin

ThighsRelief · 16/07/2019 22:58

Is it ok to use your fanny as a hoover?

DanglyWhoreTassels · 16/07/2019 23:13

Thigh I was under the impression my fanny was not only a hoover but an all-stop shop, and a sweet-talkin sugar-coated candy man!

AND would make my cherry pop!

I've been mis-sold!!

HairyDogsInUnusualPlaces · 16/07/2019 23:24

After i wash my knickers in the washing machine, i have to wash that washing machine in a bigger washing machine.

ThighsRelief · 16/07/2019 23:27

Dangly yours is a floor polisher. We could become a cleaning team.

tapdancingmum · 16/07/2019 23:33

I do a light wash, a dark wash and sometimes a purely underwear wash as I can then just chuck it in the tumble dryer without having to separate it. Towels get washed on their own as I can normally find a full load to do. Towels get washed at 60 and everything else gets done at 40. The only thing I will take care of is DD's football tops as they do need a more gentle wash with no softener but that's not often.

The only stipulation in our house is that the washing machine and tumble dryer only get out on when somebody is in. DH is a fireman!

Rachelover40 · 16/07/2019 23:40

Douberry Sorry but I find the idea of washing underwear and tea towels together totally grim

I wouldn't worry if it was only my underwear and tea towels in together, they are like family after all. Anyone else's can be washed down at the river.

BinkyBaa · 16/07/2019 23:41

I do an eco wash and a hot wash for dirtier items. In my opinion knickers and socks come under the hot wash banner with towels and bedding. Surely any bacteria in the wash dies regardless so what's the problem?

TwistyTop · 16/07/2019 23:49

I seperate a lot of stuff but I only do full loads. So if there's not a full load for the towels then they just have to wait until there is.

Also surely people are using fabric softener on their clothes, and obviously that ruins towels, so it wouldn't be good to wash them together. I suppose not everyone does use fabric softener... Am I behind the times?

I wash everything to together but I then iron my tea towels (one of the few things I do iron along with shirts) so any germs are killed off.

Although I doubt anyone anywhere has ever had any negative effects from washing the two things together so what’s the big deal?

HairyDogsInUnusualPlaces · 16/07/2019 23:59

What happens when the people who separate out every conceivable item that might contaminate another item, goes to visit someone who just bungs it all in together. They might dry their hands on a towel contaminated with poo particles, or their cup might have been dried with a non sterile t towel. The fact is, they'd live to tell the tale - 'cos no one dies of washing contamination.

DanglyWhoreTassels · 17/07/2019 00:00

Thigh this can be our new venture:

*Knickers, knackers, knockers, all cleansed The Thighway ™®

DanglyWhoreTassels · 17/07/2019 00:14

Dog Oh god! Imagine! Imagine this! A worlde where poo particles had never reached before, and also IMAGINE if you had NOTHING ELSE TO THINK ABOUT! Now, wouldn't that be somethin' else!!

ThighsRelief · 17/07/2019 00:22

What if it's white poo on white knickers in a white wash? We'll miss the second coming of Baby Cheesus!

starray · 17/07/2019 00:26

Disgusting. To think I may have eaten off a plate wiped down with a knickery-flavoured tea towel at someone's house. Yuck!

ThighsRelief · 17/07/2019 00:32

Starray I hope you haven't! My dog gets the best china, you can drink from your cupped hands.

ThighsRelief · 17/07/2019 00:34

Dangly I can dust with my tits, I'm always knocking stuff over with them anyway.

DanglyWhoreTassels · 17/07/2019 00:42

Thigh if it's the white poo, and thererfore the white coming of Cheesus ... well then without further ado, you should report said poo to us In Thighland! We need to organise babysitting schedules!

Rachelover40 · 17/07/2019 00:50

I did three loads of washing today. I'm pleased to say that the last one, towels and the pale blue knickers and bra that sneaked in with them, came out positively gleaming. They look very pretty hanging on the clothes airer. Not a little poo in sight, everything pristine.

Rachelover40 · 17/07/2019 01:06

Just to add, earlier I did a darker wash of husband's underpants, socks and shirts and a pair of trousers. They too are hanging up, separately, and look alright but I am loathe to do any poo testing on them. What I don't know won't hurt me.

Hot tumble drying must kill off some germs.

Winterlife · 17/07/2019 01:14

I would never wash tea towels or tablecloths with anything else. They are always washed separately.

I wash towels separately as well.

ThighsRelief · 17/07/2019 01:15

Rachel have you sniffed all the crotches? You should.

Ladiva1971 · 17/07/2019 01:33

I do 2 washes a week, dark colours and whites, have done so for 30 years and I ain't dead yet.
