I am fully prepared to be told I BU
But I have to ask DH nephew is 25 his gf is 23
Both are lazy AF
They live with MIL & FIL
They have an 8 month old DS that came from a one night stand and nobody has questioned the child’s paternity not that it is important to me.
But these two are lazy
They stay in bed till midday Whilst MIL looks after baby they go for weekends away and such whilst baby is with MIL.

I just think that it’s wrong they never ever have their own child ever.

The baby’s mum is so lazy she sleeps in every day when I ask mil why she allows it, she simply says
“Because they are young”

I was 17 and raising my twin DS alone in my own flat at that age!

When I was lucky or unlucky enough to not be working with pre school aged children I often stayed in bed past11.00 am and the kids were just up later at night which gave them more time to see their Daddy when he came home from work. Did people think I was lazy?

Agree OP. They are totally lazy and not taking responsibility for their child. On the one hand it's great that MIL is there to ensure the baby is properly cared for but OTOH they aren't going to learn for themselves whilst MIL is doing everything. On balance I think for the child's sake it's better they are cared for properly as long as MIL is happy.

This. ^ Surely the goady opening post, followed by the OP changing her story, then attacking other posters. and then disappearing, (and then MN coming on to say they are deleting the thread) should tell people something.

I don't know who the small handful of posters acting all high and mighty think they are, telling people how to post, and that they're being nasty and all that guff.

Age 23/25 isn’t considerably young to have children. Not so young that they are oblivious to what they’re doing. Presumably neither of them work?

I asked if they worked too. The op may come back later, I don't see this as a troll thread.

It isn't right for the couple to palm their child off on mother all the time but I don't see what the op can do about it.
