To call my dog Blanche?

I posted on here a few days ago regarding getting a Boxer or a Doberman. I went to see the Doberman puppies yesterday and fell in love. DH is coming back with me today and we’re likely to be reserving one.

Dog will be ready to come home in 3 weeks.

I don’t like traditional dog names and when we were looking at getting a boxer I was going to call her Blanche.

WIBU to keep this name for a Dobie?? It doesn’t seem to fit as well! But I can’t think of anything else!

She looks like a little Mavis - she chose me. There were loads of pups biting each other, chewing at stuff, clambering around but this little thing simply climbed onto my knee, looked me directly in the eye, licked my hand and then went to sleep on me! To get a balanced view I put her back down to give the others a go but she just climbed straight back on again. I had no choice, she’d chosen her new mum ❤️ I love her already

The quote about relying on the kindness of strangers relates to a quote from a character called Blanche from the play A Street Car Named Desire. I think that's what Yourostar was referring to, as you initially thought about calling the puppy Blanche.
